2. PLAN FOR MY PHOTOSHOOT
On the following slides are some examples from my photo-shoot.
The theme of this photo-shoot is to capture a 1950’s pin up style image by
using certain staging techniques.
The slides are annotated accordingly.
3. I like this image
although the
lighting seems a
bit dark. I like the
fact that there
isn’t a shadow in
the background
too. The only
problem is that it
isn’t appropriate
for my target
audience.
4. The lighting
in this image
helps to
create a
“warm
ambience”
but her face is
too dark. The
hair also
doesn’t help
to showcase
the clothes.
5. In this image, I
tried to capture
an in the
moment shot.
By swishing her
hair, she has
created a
personal feel to
the image which
could be used
on a double
page spread.
6. This is an example of a bad
photograph. I don’t like it as
the lighting is too light from
behind and there is not
enough light on her face. In
the pose she looks awkward
which could send out
connotations of the star being
tired and ill. Also, there is a
slight fault with the costume
although I could probably
correct this in editing.
7. I cannot use
this image as it
is blurred.
Although you
can make out a
central figure, it
would not look
effective.
8. This image is one of the
ones I am considering
using for my front cover. I
will use it as there is plenty
of space around it to create
puffs and advertisements.
The star is also looking in
to the camera which gives a
personal feel to the image.
