2. OBJECTIVES
• Integrate and develop listening, speaking, reading and

4. CELLPHONE
It is a phone that can make and
receive telephone calls over a radio
link while moving around a wide
geographic area. It does so by
connecting to a cellular
network provided by a mobile
phone operator, allowing access to
the public telephone network. By
contrast, a cordless telephone is used
only within the short range of a
single, private base station.

5. ANDROID
An Android phone is a smartphone
running on Google's open-source
Android operating system. Many
different manufacturers make
Android phones, including HTC,
Motorola, and Samsung. Dozens and
dozens of different Android
phones are now available, and all of
the major cellular carriers in the U.S.
offer Android phones.

6. TABLET
Tablets are equipped with
sensors,including cameras, microphone, a
ccelerometer and touchscreen, with finger
or stylus gestures replacing computer
mouse and keyboard. Tablets may include
physical buttons, to control basic features
such as speaker volume and power and
ports for network communications and to
charge the battery. An on-screen, pop-up
virtual keyboard is usually used for
typing.

In basic terms, the iPad is a tablet
or "slate" computer. Upon the
release of the original iPad,
Apple formally declared that it is
a "magical and revolutionary"
device for "browsing the web,
reading and sending email,
enjoying photos, watching
videos, listening to music,
playing games, reading e-books
and more.
