1) In the opening we used a dark surrounding light that
symbolised the sister theme we added as a sub textual
layer but also in the centre of this shot there is a small
clear white moonlight which is significant as it’s a
metaphor for the small bright light the protagonist holds
within which is the memories he shared with his
previous love affair but it is powered over by his now
surrounding sinister darkness that he has developed
since their break.
2) In this shot the lighting is bright and natural as during
our opening we start to show the happiness in which the
protagonist refers to through his visual flashbacks, this
green and natural light adds a light, playful colour
scheme and sense to the shot.

3) Moving forward this is similar to the first shots set of
lighting but this is more significant to the narrative
because the previous shot was a bright naturally lighted
shot whereas this is dark furthermore representing his
view on his life turning from bright, natural and playful
too dark with minimal light left.
4) This shot is a similar sequence to the previous as it’s a
bright light moving out of its natural blue into a dark
night sky.

5) This is a continuation of the previous shot, it’s the
previously mention dark night sky that is used to
symbolised as a visual metaphor the protagonist view on
his life moving from bright to dark.
6) This next set of shot lighting is interesting as it is
different to the previous as it is the flashback between
the couple. In this section the lighting is bright in high
areas shining over the actors to show the flashback
unrealistic aspect and to also add to the subtext of the
small bright white lights referring to these moments as
the lady in red is the protagonists hope and light.

7) This set of lighting clear shows through the visuals that
the protagonist is dark even when everything around
him is bright and this is significant as it links back to the
subtext and overall narrative.
8) This shot is almost like being inside the protagonist
mind as the dark lighting surrounds using the previously
stated use of small bright lights signifying hope and his
past.

9) This shot of the sky is to circle back around with the
narrative to show the bright sky showing the protagonist
previous life moving into darkness.
10) The final shot has the dark lighting used previously over the
sky to end the narrative in the dark feeling within the
protagonist mind and emotional senses.
