2. As part of my video is going to be a
performance, I have chosen a
condenser microphone as it also
helps to create the vintage 50’s
theme. This will look effective as
the performance will be very
simple and therefore the
microphone will stand out and be
a key feature.
This is one of the subtle props that
will make the whole shot look
effective as it all ties together
with costumes and the artists
styling too.
3. During the narrative, there
will be shots of the main
character in her house and
doing day to day activities.
Therefore I plan to have a
shot of her entering her
house after being at work
and a close up of a satchel
will be used to represent
this.
4. In the narrative, my artist
will be writing to her
partner who lives a long
way away. This is what
she is talking about in
the song so has to be
done properly. I will use
paper and an old
fashioned fountain pen
to create this look as
she writes to him,
almost like a pen pal.
5. I want to make sure I keep
the 50’s theme throughout
and this can be done
mainly through the use of
props. Because of this, I
have decided to use a old
fashioned method of
sealing a letter after she
has written it with a wax
seal. I am going to create
my own stamp to use and
melt wax from a candle to
create this.
6. Another shot to set the
scene when she’s in
her home will be a
close up of her
drinking from a old
fashioned tea set to
help set the scene
and create the era I
am looking for. These
small props and quick
shots will all add to
the theme in an
effective way.
