A picture of me
1. A Picture of Me
You are going to create a poster that helps explain who you are to me
and other students. You are going to use a combination of color,
pictures and words to do this. Follow the directions below to start
making your poster.
Directions:
1. Create a background. Cut out different pictures that are mostly colors.
These should be colors that are your favorite. The pictures shouldn’t really
be of anything specific, you are just going for color. They need to cover
your whole paper. (You can use construction paper if needed) Glue these
down.
2. Next, cut out some pictures that represent things that you like. My poster
would have puppies, teaching, fishing, hiking, rivers, books, and things like
that. What will your poster have? Glue these down over the background.
They don’t have to cover the whole paper; that’s why you have a
background.
3. Now look through newspapers and magazines for words that describe you.
You might have things like: boy, girl, sister, brother, soccer, swimming,
football, student, etc. If you can’t find what you want, you can print them on
the computer. Place and glue these randomly on your poster. They can
cover some or parts of your pictures, but not all of them. We still need to
see the pictures.
4. Finally, you are going to cut out BIG letters that spell your name. The
letters don’t have to match each other; they just have to be big. Glue these
down on top of your poster. Your name can go anywhere on the poster, but
it should be easy to see and read.
