• Served as project manager in creating strategic fundraising plans, including recommendations on how to maximize
opportunities across the full continuum of funders including high net worth individuals, foundations, corporations, bilateral
and multilateral sources for International Food Policy Research Institute, Artists for Humanity, ORBmedia, and icddr,b.
• Served as project manager for $12 million of a $45 million campaign for US Diplomacy Center at the US Department of State,
including managing the “moves” process, overseeing a team of two researchers, and developing systems for efficiency in a
staff and volunteer team housed in multiple locations. Gifts included $1 million each from Stephen Schwarzman, GE
Foundation, and Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
Proposal Writing, Briefing Papers and Presentations
• Participated as team member in the writing and formatting of a pending $1.3 million Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
advocacy grant for UK-based NGO; a successful $1.1 million Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation advocacy grant for icddr,b; and a
successful $1.7 million USAID malaria control and intervention grant for Episcopal Relief & Development.
• Conceptualized and developed briefings, reports and concept papers for engagements across the full continuum of funders
including HNWIs (e.g., David Rockefeller, Jr, The Honorable Hushang Ansary); foundations (e.g., Bill & Melinda Gates
Foundation, Carnegie Corporation); corporations (e.g., Merck, Shell); and bilaterals (e.g., DFID, DFATD, NORAD, USAID).
• Participated in and synthesized findings from interviews with bilateral funders, policy-makers, and global public health experts
in delivery of landscape analysis for icddr,b’s strategic planning process and in fulfillment of both USAID TRACtion (Translating
Research into Action) and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation advocacy grants.
• Contributed to the research, writing, and design of advocacy materials for NetsforLife® Monitoring & Evaluation program
focused on behavior change to improve “net culture” as a technology to prevent malaria incidence through programs
supported and implemented by a range of stakeholders including local communities, faith leaders and local, state and
national governments.
Assessment, Implementation and Regular Maintenance of Non-Profit Systems and CRM Tools
• Managed $30,000 Systems Needs Assessment for international agriculture research institute, HarvestPlus, including the
writing of the RFP, interviewing of selected firms and awarding of final contract on schedule and under budget.
• Managed the design and implementation of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) and document repository databases
for icddr,b, HarvestPlus and US Diplomacy Center. Developed systems and processes portfolios.
Policy and Advocacy for International Development
• Coordinated all logistics for a 300-person conference held in Rwanda by HarvestPlus for countries and policymakers to make
commitments to incorporate seed biofortification into their agriculture and health policy plans. Participants included Vice
President of World Bank, 4 Ministers of Agriculture (Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda and DRC), 3 Ministers of Health (Nigeria,

• Assisted in the design and served as key coordinator for icddr,b policy event highlighting the Bangladesh success story in
achieving MDGs 4 and 5 through innovative health technologies and interventions. The Governments of Bangladesh and
Norway co-hosted the event at UN headquarters and featured keynote speaker UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon.
