Task 4 – Script Writing
SchoolRadio Advertisement
Scene: Outside on the School Grounds: Lunchtime
The audio advertisement opens up to the sound of students talking as they seem to be
moving around, going to different classes. After 3 seconds of this, over the top of the
background noise, the sound of a female student speaking to the listeners can be heard.
Female Student 1
Here at Ringwood School, students work their hardest to achieve the best grades they can
with the courses they’ve selected from the 58 they have to choose from.
Almost immediately after the first female student finishes talking about the variety of
courses they have available for students, a male student starts to talk to the listener. There’s
still a lot of background noise, as students continue to chatter as they walk around.
Male Student 1
And with the help of the many teachers you’ll find across the grounds and in classes, great
GCSE results are guaranteed: just like they have been every year so far.
Male Student 2
But it’s not all about the work here at Ringwood School: there’s plenty to see and do! With
47 clubs to choose from, school trips to various locations, Sports Day, and a variety of
opportunities to get involved and make a difference!
Behind the second male student’s voice, the background noise of talking children gets a little
louder, and the sound of cheering reminiscent of people watching sports seems to join in. It’s
quiet enough that you can hear both the male student finishing his sentence, and the female
student now talking.
Female Student 2

Sixth Form Radio Advertisement
Scene: Inside the Sixth Form Café: Lunchtime
This audio advertisement opens up the same as the main School radio advertisement, with
the sound of the sixth formers all talking and moving around. The only difference is that it’s a
bit quieter than the other advert, with a more calm atmosphere and vibe. Much like the
main School radio advert, after 3 seconds a male student begins to talk.
