• In this technique is based on the Electrical
Resistance change of a Manganin (alloy of Cu, Mn
,Ni) or Gold Chrome wire , with Hydrostatic
Pressure, due to Bulk Compression effect
• In this device the Coil is enclosed in a flexible
bellows Filled with Kerosene , for transmitting the
pressure to be measured to the coil
• The change of resistance between the wire A and
B can be made part of a bridge circuit to measure
resistance between the coil and indirectly the
measurement of pressure
