George Eliot was a
English novelist poet,
Journalist translator
and one of Leading
writers of the
Victorian Era.
She used a male pen
name she said to
ensure that her works
would be taken
seriously.
3. George Eliot was born on 22 November 1819
in England.
She died on 22December 1880.
Eliot’s Middlemarch has been described by
the novelists Martin Amish and Julian
Barnes as the greatest novel in the English
Language.

She also Translator, poet, Journalist and one of
the leading writers of the Victorian Era.
After the success of Adam Bede ,Eliot
continued to write popular novel for the next
fifteen year.
Her last novel was Daniel Deronda Published
in 1876, after which she and Lewes moved to
Witley , Surrey.
The philosopher and critic George Henry
Lewes met events in 1854 they had decided to
live together.

of nature image has been noted earlier. The full
environment some time reflects a character reaction
to his situation or his relationship humanity.
In her First full length novel Adam Bede(1859) George
Eliot criticizes the moral mistake of the major
character in the novel.
