Charles Dickens was an English novelist and social critic in the 19th century. He used his novels, essays, and short stories to shed light on social injustices against the poor and the impact of poverty on society. Some of his most famous works include Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, A Tale of Two Cities, and Great Expectations. Dickens died in 1870 and is considered one of the greatest British novelists.

While Charles Dickens has numerous works I chose to narrow my
focus to a few that provide a true & vivid depiction of how his views
on politics & socialism were reflected in his writings. Also, these
works provide an example of how Dickens characters often overcome
their vicious life & go onto find happiness.
He died of a stroke in 1870. He is buried at Westminster Abbey.
Today he is considered one of the greatest British novelist and his
numerous works are now considered classics.

The third phase (1898-1928), the period of the rising fame, he abandoned
