1. Kintetsu World Express (Benelux) offers its customers worldwide “door-to-door"
intermodal transport solutions utilizing air, sea, and ground transport as required.
KWE has been active in the three Benelux countries since 1988 and currently has
offices in Amsterdam (airfreight), Ridderkerk (sea freight) and Brussels
(airfreight). KWE distinguishes itself from its competitors by offering clients tailor-
made logistics and transportation solutions with a focus on exceptional customer
service.
For the office in Ridderkerk we are looking for a
Sales Representative Sea freight
Tasks & Responsibilities
• developing new and existing clients and manage the complete sales cycle,
from generating leads to closing the contracts
• also responsible for developing sales and marketing plans, strategies, and
policies, setting targets
• liaising with overseas offices, re-sales plans/targets
• developing pricing strategies
• documenting sales promotion materials
• business contract reviews
• periodic review of sales activities
• reporting sales performance to sales manager
• trouble shooting on both internal and external issues
• approving customer quotations
• final resolution of customer complaints
Desired skills & Expertise
• bachelor or master degree within sales & marketing and/or logistics &
supply chain management, additional qualifications in management-type
courses and problem solving-techniques are desirable
• three to five years of broad sales and operational experience within freight
forwarding and/or logistics sales with a strong bias towards having sold
sea freight services
• proven track record in selling freight solutions to new and existing clients
• strong selling, negotiation and influencing skills
• confident, with a strength in relationships building/management
• ability to understand customer needs, aligning these to our clients
business case
• excellent communication skills
• fluent in Dutch and English
