2. Blogger
Blogger is a free tool which was developed by google to allows people to host and run a blog for no price, its use of technological
convergence allows users to publish both written information but allows videos and images to be uploaded to the blog, as well as other
features to make publishing, reading and editing the blog as easy and effective process.
This software was beneficial to me as I was able to publish all my coursework on this site, once published I could change the date of
posts in order to make my work appropriately listed on the site. The tags/Labels on the site show the reader which sub-category the task
falls under for example if I was uploading a draft of video it would come under production, this makes locating the different tasks easier.
Another benefit of this application is the use of embedding external presentations and YouTube videos. Firstly it allowed me to upload
range of different presentation methods which meant that I could present my information the reader in a variety of ways, also as I could
directly upload my drafts and final video from the online video streaming site YouTube it meant that I could show a process directly from
the blog rather than uploading links which means more time is spent re-directing the reader to other sites from the blog.
In addition I was able to change the theme and layout of my blog, this makes it an easier an more effective process when using the blog
as I could change the arrangement of the blog. Blogger is also useful as comments can be published to posts on the blog which is a
useful way of obtaining people opinions on the video. On the other hand blogger can be inefficient as it only has limited tools to use
therefore when presenting research or findings directly on the website there is little that can be done to change and distribute the
information in creative ways.
4. Online survey sites- Survey monkey
This is a free online surveying application which lets the creator of the questionnaire share the survey to a large mass of people very quickly as the link to the
questionnaire can be distributed through emails and other networking sites, it was most important during the research and planning stage as it allowed us to
reach a consensus of ideas about the music video as different people were able to vote on there preferred answered. When the desired amount of people
have attempted the survey then it provides the creator with analytics which shows which answered were most popular on every question giving a more clear
indicator into what to base the resto of my research on. In addition even when the survey has been published the questions and answers can be edited
which makes it easy to amend things which were not correct. This software is very easy to function and it requires no training to operate and distribute
surveys. The creator is able to add many drop down answers which makes it very easy to format although the site does not have the potential to uploaded
graphics to the questions. The final data which is provided at the end of the survey is very clear and different graphs can be used to represent different data
making it very easy to analyze as a group. A more limited version of the software can be used free of charge although for the professional version a cost is
involved. This software helped out group target the questionnaire for specific groups of people to get the feedback we felt was most appropriate to
benefiting the final product. The questions can be made to be open or closed and gives the user a chance to write in their own thoughts or alternatively just
allows them to select a premade answer. The creating stage of the questionnaire was very simple which allowed us to produce it very quickly. This site is
compatible with many web browsers which means audience responses is not limited and alternatively it has the function to be used on a smartphone which
means it can be more suitable to younger respondents of the questionnaire.

8. YouTube
YouTube is a free video sharing website which allows user-generated content to be added to the sites and video uploads. This site was very useful for
obtaining feedback of every individual draft as this site allows the greatest user activity of any streaming services. In addition through using this site I was
able to easy embed each draft into blogger as both sites are associated with my Google account making this a simple process. In addition YouTube has an
easy rating and feedback system which makes it simple to collect peoples evaluation of the drafts and final product. In addition YouTube makes it easy to
share the link directly from the video to other web 2.0 sites which allows me to expand my audience to gain a larger range of comments and to create a
media democracy. In addition if I only wanted certain people to observe the video then I could publish the video an unlisted which means I can send the
link to people who I want to watch the video which removes access for the general public. Furthermore this application allows the user too add parental
block to the video which means any account under the age of 18 will not be able to watch the video as it would be classified as inappropriate, this allowed
me to ensure that the audience ho was watching and giving feedback on the video was closer to the intend demographic. In addition this applications
allows users to upload videos which are different resolutions which means the video can be rendered and uploaded at industry standard which gives the
overall product more professionalism. I utilized this web 2.0 site as it is the most effective streaming site for interactive sharing and participatory content
can be added instantly, it also means consumers can further engage with the media piece. In addition it allowed us to showcase the whole creating
progress and the progression we made as every draft could be uploaded in chronological order, they can be added to play lists or shared on other sites in
this order to allow users to see the journey in which we had made to accomplish the final product. Furthermore connotations and tags can be added to the
video to give the consumers a better idea of the genre of the video or simply to add further information about the video which was not clear within the
narrative. For research and planning this application was useful as it allowed us to view and analyze existing RnB products which meant we could pick up
on key convections within the videos, because YouTube is very widely used it exposed us to various similar artists which meant we could gain a better
insight into key components of the genre.
