Jim Taylor
My strengths can be seen in the progress of the companies I have worked for when put in the
position to greatly affect it.
Most recently, I was serving as Executive Vice President and Director of Internet Technology for
Wireless Partners. In that leadership role, I was deeply involved in key business decisions which resulted
in the company doubling its size during my tenure. The company growth in key areas made it much
sought after by major players looking for a foothold in the lucrative Ohio market. This spring following
multiple offers from multiple sources, the company was acquired by GO Wireless. I was tapped to lead
the sales division for the Ohio operation and transition it to the new management.
I started with Wireless Partners in June 2009 as the Director of IT Technology, where I was
tasked with identifying and developing the technical tools needed to allow their Ohio based 14 store
operation to grow to the multi-state 28 store location operation it was at the time of sale.
In that capacity, I was the lead for developing internal file servers, providing a survey website and
webmail for our sales force, provided wide area network capabilities, sales, marketing and management
tools such as customer databases, internet based POS systems, collaboration tools, forums, HR databases,
establishing a professional web presence with capabilities for employment applications and marketing
initiatives.
I developed, staffed and trained an IT Department from the ground up. Once the department was
running and meeting its goals, I took on other projects for the company which ranged from documentation
of corporate and sales management roles and development of a cross trained environment, identifying
areas of inefficiencies and developing the processes and tools to eliminate steps, streamline tasks and
reduce overhead.
At the end of my tenure with Wireless Partners, I was deeply involved with the Sales
organization. I had been tasked with helping identify the weaknesses and strengths of that division and
look for ways to improve the overall performance.
I can essentially repeat the summary above, with more than triple the years of experience, when
discussing my successes and advances at UPS. I have been a team player in all my positions, training and
imparting my knowledge and spirit of process improvement in such a way that I have always been able to
step away from the position where the operation is practically self-sufficient.

I believe that my strongest skill is my ability to quickly understand a process, improve upon it and
train others to an expert level. I have a tremendous work ethic instilled by a working class heritage and
entrepreneurial parents. My career goals are to be in a position that allows me to positively affect the
business I work for and the people I work with.
On the personal side, I have strong sense of family and community. My wife Cindy and I have
been married for 19 years. We have two amazing children, Allison and J.T. We are active in our church,
and our children’s school. I am currently serving as the President of the Boosters for the Music Program. I
am also a member of two seasonal soccer leagues which keep me physically active and fit in both summer
and winter.
