3 Month contract where the task was to replace the remainder on the XP devices, achieved this buy
building both fresh and recycled devices onto the trusts windows 7 image. This involved visiting
clinical areas, admin offices, wards and included working with bespoke labs equipment and specialist

Active Directory Administrator/ IT Engineer 3rd August 2015 – 9th June 2016
Initially 2 months, posted for 10 Months. Here I created and amended user accounts, set permission
levels and assigned roles to users. I liaised closely with Data Centre and Service Delivery to ensure a
smooth flow of the systems, whether it is assigning Group policies, creating users from scratch or
simply making certain amendments.
Engineer team where I spent my time imaging and configuring devices with the Trust image. This
included ensuring the standard machines met the minimum requirements to run this image; therefore I
was installing hardware, RAM, new HDD's and graphics cards. I would also get machines ready for
disposal; this involved retaining all devices confidential information. I am also involved in the
deployment of devices across the 4 sites in the trust.

During my time here I took on day to day administration duties which included printing and scanning
sensitive data as well as watching as the advisor helped customers and clients. This allowed me to
complete work for the only department within the government I have not yet undertaken.

IT Service Desk Engineer 12th August 2013 – 12th April 2014
In this role, Skills and experience were pushed to the limits. Supporting 3 major Government
contracts; Her Majesty’s Treasury, Cabinet Office and CAFCASS. Working successfully under
pressure as part of a team, and alone. As well as finding solutions and implementing them I
documented for future reference. Predominantly based around Active Directory I Developed my skills
and became aware of more user types and groups thay can be used, how the SQL and exchange
servers can interact with the AD as well as conflict, working through a database of requests for new
users i ensured the accounts and groups were created successfully, meeting the needs of their line
managers requirements and deadlines. During the role I became leader of the ‘Blackberry Team’
which consisted of running the Blackberry Enterprise Server, which is also an active directory used for
enterprise rollouts for the blackberry devices. Using the skills previously developed via telephone
communication I further developed my communication skills whilst supporting employees and various
clients on the phone which has added confidence. I have also performed set tasks alone such as
presenting the weekly stats in front of the team of over 30 people. During this time I have also secured
Employee of the month.

In the role as 1st Line Support Engineer I developed a further understanding of the corporate
business, working successfully under pressure – As part of a team, and alone. Being attentive and
using initiative was key. The skills previously gained were vigorously tested. As well as finding
solutions and implementing them I documented for future reference. I also developed my
communication skills whilst supporting employees and various clients in person and on the phone
which has added confidence. I have some experience in 2nd Line Support and I have further
knowledge of Active Directory; Managing users and groups, includung creating new users, assigning
and enforcing levels of security to users and groups. I also learnt how to roll out installations and
updates using the AD. I have a further understanding of networks, implementing solutions via
Windows Server 2003 & 2008, as well as ‘Patching ports’ into switches, configuring Cisco phones and

My main hobbies surround multimedia projects. In my spare time I like to produce music as well as
graphics design. I have created; Logos, websites, montages, animations, images. As a father of three
I find that my skills are being tested yet grow on a day to day basis. I believe these can be
incorporated into a work environment. Each day I have to work under pressure as both part of a team
