CLIPPING


       Clipping is new words formed by ommiting part
of a word. The omission is normally at the end of a
word or at the beginning, but it can be omiited in both
of them (in the begining and in the end of word).
Example omission at the end of

   laboratory= lab
   examination= exam
   bicycle= bike
   microphone= mike
