3. Online education is electronically supported
learning that relies on the Internet for
teacher/student interaction and the distribution
of class materials.
Online education enables the teacher and the
student to set their own learning pace, and there's
the added flexibility of setting a schedule that
fits everyone's agenda. As a result, using
an online educational platform allows for a better
balance of work and studies, so there's no need to
give anything up
4. The COVID-19 has
resulted in schools shut
all across the world.
Globally, over 1.2 billion
children are out of the
classroom.
As a result, education has
changed dramatically,
with the distinctive rise of
e-learning, whereby
teaching is undertaken
remotely and on digital
platforms.
Online courses bring education right to your home.
Online students often find that their family, friends and/or boy-girl-friends get
involved in the course. Oftentimes, a student will study with that special someone
present. Parents may look over the shoulder of an online student while they are
surfing across the web.
It’s more cost-effective than traditional education.
Unlike in-person education methods, online education tends
to be more affordable. There’s also often a wide range of
payment options let you pay in installments or per class.
It allows for a customized learning experience.
Online education is also flexible for each student’s
individual requirements and level of ability.
There’s often access to very diverse material such as videos,
photos, and eBooks online as well, and tutors can also
integrate other formats like forums or discussions to improve
their lessons. And this extra content is available at any moment
from anywhere, which will offer you a more dynamic and tailor-
made education.
5. Keep your camera on thorough the entire class.
Keep your microphone mute unless you are asked to speak.
Ensure quiet and distraction free environment.
Avoid public place e.g. café.
Ensure uninterrupted internet connection.
8. Interactions with the students- Asking the students questions
Make debate session for a while
Stop dropout by random attendance check.
Paying attention in the students activities during the class.
9. Know the software that you’ll be using, including its strengths and weaknesses. Your ambitions for
creating a robust online presentation have to work within the restrictions of the software that you’ll
be using.
Don’t create lectures that include identical information in your slides and the audio of your
lecture. Instead, make sure your slides have graphic information that supplement what you’re
speaking about.
Use frequent, low stakes quizzes at the end of larger units, such as at the end of 60 minutes of
combined lecture and activity. Frequent, low stakes quizzes help ensure your students are
paying attention.
Student Interaction
Don’t create 60-minute lectures that students sit passively through. Instead, break up your
presentations into
30-minute chunks.
10. Provide different learning
options
Getting all your students into a video conference
for live lectures and discussions is great, but not
every student will have the ability to participate.
Maybe their internet can’t handle streaming video.
Solicit feedback
Eliminate distractions
Exactly how much of a challenge these
distractions will prove to be will depend on your
own unique personality and situation.
Use online resources
Ask your students for feedback and receive
instant responses so you can create a
better online learning experience.
One of the biggest benefits of switching to a
remote learning model is that you have access to
a huge array of online apps that can inject fun,
creativity, and variety into your lessons.
