2. ONLINE CLASS
It is a very flexible learning
method that allows students to
study solely via the internet on
their computer at home , or
wherever they see fit.
3. ADVANTAGES OF ONLINE CLASSES
• CONVENIENT
Location does not matter as online classes can be
attended from any place as per student’s choice.
• TIME FREEDOM
Extra Classes in online mode can be scheduled at
any time by the teacher after discussing timings
with the students.
• COMPARATIVELY CHEAPER
They are comparatively cheaper because the
travelling and the accommodation cost is totally
ruled out.
4. • TIME SAVING
There is no need to travel to the
classroom or the coaching center , so it
actually saves a lot of time.
• RECORDED LECTURES
The recorded lectures are the treasure
as these can be viewed any time if the
student has any doubt or if he/she
misses the lecture.
5. DISADVANTAGES OF ONLINE CLASSES
• ISOLATING
Online classes can become isolating as there is lack of
social interactions online.
• NO SENSE OF COMPETITION
The spirit of competition among students is very less
because the student to student engagement is very low in
the online mode.
• FALSE HEALTH IMPACTS
Constantly sitting in front of computer screen can cause
eye problems and can also lead to poor body posture.
6. • EASE OF CHEATING
The chances of cheating in online mode are very high
due to lack of proper monitoring as the invigilator is
not physically present.
• LACK OF RESOURCES
Children with less resources cannot get their hands on
online education.
• DISTRACTIONS
There are no classmates around but still there are lot
of distractions like social media , TV, playing games on
phone and family can be even distracting sometimes.
7. OFFLINE CLASS
It is the traditional
learning method in which
the students needs to go
to the classroom and
attend the class face to
face with the teacher.
8. ADVANTAGES OF OFFLINE CLASSES
• ENVIROMENT
Offline classes provide us the environment we need to
concentrate on studies and the infrastructure and
facilities necessary like libraries , labs etc.
• DISCIPLINE
The class is very disciplined as the teacher is always
checking if the student is indeed focused on the class
and not doing anything else.
• COMPEPTIVE ATMOSPHERE
There are spontaneous debates , exchange of ideas and
answering of questions in the class which creates a sense
of competition among students.
9. • CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
With the ongoing offline classes students can also opt
for co-curricular activities physically on the campus in
which they are interested.
• NO REQUIREMENT OF EQUIPMENT
There is no requirement of internet or computer in a
offline class only physical presence is required.
• EFFECTIVE EVALUATION
The chances of cheating are less due to physical
presence of invigilator so assessment of the student
can be done effectively by written examination.
10. DISADVANTAGES OF OFFLINE CLASSES
• WASTAGE OF TIME
Students needs to travel to the classroom which
wastes a lot of time and energy which can be used in
any other productive work and student also get less
time for self study.
• NO RECORDED LECTURES
As there are no recordings of lectures present
onboard if a student misses a lecture it can break the
flow of understanding of the subject which ultimately
leads to huge backlog.
11. • COMPARATIVELY EXPENSIVE
Attending offline classes can be a little more expensive for
students who hails from a place where no educational
institution is present as they have to pay daily travel expenses
and accommodation expenses etc.
• SCHEDULING OF EXTRA CLASSES
In online mode a teacher can schedule an extra class at any
time but this is not possible in offline mode because everyone
has to work in limited timings of the institution.
• DISTRACTIONS
Distractions are present here also , you can easily get
distracted by gossips and jokes of your friends in your peer
group.
12. CONCLUSION
“NOTHING CAN BE PERFECT”
As we had discussed both of them had their own
advantages and disadvantages even though what can
be called “advantage” and ”disadvantage” depends on
one’s point of view. One might prefer a type of
learning rather than the other according to their needs
and availabilities .
Which is Better?
It is very difficult question to answer as there are many
different aspects.
