How did you
attract/address
your audience?
The title of the magazine
• We chose the title of the magazine ‘WSFC
Soccer’ because it connotes football and
sport this attracts the target audience which
  is ‘sporty’ students.
• The title is white with a bold font which
makes it stands out. To get this font we
analysed several male magazines and got the
final design from the copy of top gear
  magazine.
Cover star
• The Cover star we used had a serious
expression on his face to connote that football
is a serious sport that is taken serious by the
college. The model was a footballer for the
teams academy so it was a good
representation for the magazine. The clothes
we chose were not part of the football
academy to show that the players were
  students aswell.
Other Fonts and colours
• We used other coloured fonts in our magazine
such as when there was an article about a red
card the article was in a red box suggesting
the red car. Also when writing about the game
vs. Worcester tech, the Tech was in red to
represent the rivalry between the colleges.
• We used a few reverse coverlines also to catch
  the readers attention.
The Types of Stories
• The types of stories were all football related
i.e. The story about the red card and the
  disappointment after a bad performance.
What have you learnt about
  technologies from the
process of constructing this
         product?
New Technology
• The new technology we used is Photoshop it
enabled me to achieve my task by easily helping
  layout my magazine.
• It is a lot easier to produce a professional front
cover and contents using digital technology
because of how advanced it is rather than before
the digital age because it would have been a lot
more complicated as you would have to use
layers of paper etc in order for it to be a
  magazine.
What Technologies did you used?
• I used The Internet, Digital SLR camera and
Photoshop to help me make a quality looking
  front cover and contents page.
• The internet was useful because it helped me
with my research for the magazine.
• Using the Digital SLR camera helped me achieve
the specific shots needed in order for it to
correspond with the genre of the magazine.
• Photoshop was helpful because it supplied a
  quality finish to the work.
Effects I Used
I used a change of gradient on
the pictures in order for it to look
more effective and high standard.
I also changed the style and made
the cover more ‘posterized’
which gave it a original look and
made it stand out.
Blogging
• Blogging helped me keep track of my research
and what I learnt in class it also presented my
work clearly and what I planned accurately.
• I would use blogger again and I think its a
good way of organising work and presenting it
well so people can read it and skip to different
titles instead of reading the whole blog.
Did the Technology Help?
• The Technology did help me with my work
because it was more efficient and using digital
technology at times was confusing as there
was a lot of features that I had never used
before. Also Blogger was a great help in
producing and presenting the work and
  research for the preliminary project.
