2. Camera
In order to create my magazine cover and double page spread there is many different things
that I need to think about.
The pictures that need are going to be used need to be in a high quality and edited it order
cancel out any imperfections, like if the model on the cover had any blemishes. The lighting of
the photos may not have been the way that you wanted so you may have to make them lighter
or darker.
I have decided to use a nikon camera in order to take my pictures. I am borrowing it from a
friend, however they are letting use to for as long as I need to, so if I need to re take any
pictures I will be able to as many times as possible.
3. Editing
In order to edit my pictures I will be using different editing softwares for different things:
In order to correct small things I will use iPhoto thing will allow me to do the following things:
• Rotate the images.
• Enhance them.
• Get rid of any red-eye that may have occurred due to the flash being on.
• Crop out anything that I don’t want to be in the picture.
• Retouch anything on the image like get rid of blemishes etc.
• There is also a number of effects that I would be able to add to the pictures.
There is also Pixrl which does the following:
• Ensure that the pictures look professional
• Allow you to add headings and other images
• Has a large rang of different text and filter types.
4. Colour scheme:
I have decided that I want the colour scheme for my magazine to be black
and white with slight hits of read. I have asked three friends to be on the
cover who will all be wearing red and black clothing. The text that I will be
adding to the cover will be in black red and white.
I am wanting to add a filter like ‘Sepia’ or ‘Antique’ on iPhoto to the main
cover image in order to give it a warmer tone.
