student in selecting a flying school and country, based on the personal preferences of the student.

3. The course includes preparation before leaving India. A psychometric exam and an interview are
conducted. The student receives some ground and simulator training to prepare them for their
flight training course. During the 9 month flight training course, the student will complete the
private and commercial pilot licenses, as well as the night, multi-engine and instrument ratings.
The best flight training in the world will not make the student’s dream of becoming an airline pilot
reality if he/she cannot pass the selection process. The final 3 months of the program will prepare
the student for this process. This includes interviews, aptitude, simulator and psychometric
testing.
Once complete, the graduate usually starts off flying a Boeing 737 or A320 on domestic routes.
