Who is pilot
A pilot operates an aircraft or a helicopter
similarly to a driver. Pilots steer airplanes in the
air in the same way that drivers direct cars on
roadways. They require certain training and
understanding to operate these vehicles in the
air.
Apart from aviation, there's another kind of
pilot: a person with extensive knowledge of a
particular body of water, such as a river or sea.
This person serves as a guide to ensure that
ships navigate the waterways safely.

Proficiency in the English language:
Before applying for or renewing their license, pilots must pass the DGCA ELP Test,
which measures English language proficiency.
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) 6-level Language Proficiency
Rating Scale serves as the basis for the test; A Minimum level of 4 is needed in India.
Reading, Listening, and Speaking are the three sections that make up the test.
The findings are the total ratings from seasoned pilots or language experts.
Examiners assess the pilot's performance in each area.

Many aviation institutions provide written exams, that must be passed to be admitted to CPL courses. Private pilot licenses are customized licenses that view flying as a hobby or pastime and do not intend to use their aircraft for business. To be an eligible candidate for Private Pilot Training Courses, applicants must be at least 17 years old, have completed class 10th from a recognized board, meet the medical criteria as specified by the DGCA, and show up for the relevant aptitude tests. Even though admission to PPL courses is determined by merit, each institute administers an aptitude assessment that students must pass to be admitted.
