1. INTERN & CO-OP INITIAL EVALUATION
1
RELATIONS WITH OTHERS GOOD - Meets all expectations and sometimes exceeds them.
COMMENTS Guillermo works very professional with operators, technicians, and engineers. He takes
direction well and is always looking for ways to improve his work. When working with
operators and technicians, he takes time in explaining his work and result of change.
He notes the steps the technician takes to complete the work so that he can improve
on his method of installation and standardize how to complete a task.
COMMUNICATION FULLFILLS EXPECTATIONS - Meets most expectations.
COMMENTS Guillermo’s communication skill could use some improvement. Public speaking is not
his strong suit but he can get the message across. He needs to improve on his
engineering communication skills which includes technicial writing, documentation of
changes, and engineering CAD and BOM layouts. He is on track for an intern but will
need to improve these areas to meet expectations of an engineer.
QUALITY OF WORK GREAT - Consistently meets all expectations and often exceeds them.
COMMENTS Guillermo’s current projects are on track. There needs to be additional follow up and
closure before they can truly be evaluated. He does follow up with his tasks and is
always looking for ways to improve. This a great mindset for an intern who is looking to
continuously improve.
ABILITY TO LEARN GREAT - Consistently meets all expectations and often exceeds them.
COMMENTS Guillermo takes on difficult tasks with little direction and tries to understand them. His
ability to learn new skills is characterized by his resourcefulness. He knows who to ask
for questions and where to find answers. By introducing Guillermo to other engineers
on the battery team, he’s been able to keep himself up to date with the skills required
for the job. He is very eager to learn robotics and takes every opportunity to do so.
ATTITUDE TO WORK OUTSTANDING - Consistently exceeds all expectations; results are the highest
standard of excellence.
COMMENTS Guillermo will always put in the extra time to finish a task. He is very detail oriented and
appreciates critiques. He takes direction and continuously improve on his work by
factoring in previous project experiences. He is not the traditional desk engineer. He
goes out to the line to understand the task, how the equipment is used, how the
operator or technician interacts with it, and tries to approach the job from all angles. He
does not rush to deliver. He takes quality over quantity.
