Job Title: Project Engineer PRISM Title: Engineer – Packaging Equipment
GOAL
Organizes and implements engineering projects concerned with L’Oreal USA production
operations. Applies approved practices in manufacturing to improve operations, reduce
waste, promote cost reductions and maintain a high level of efficiency.
EDUCATIONAL, MENTAL, OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Programmable control technology.
Project management.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Project
GENERAL JOB DUTIES
Develops major capitol projects for automation, expansion or cost reduction.
Performs analysis of processes, systems, methods or procedures.
Implements L’Oreal corporate Industrial Projects (KANBAN, SMED, TPM, etc.)
Ability to identify opportunities and produce cost-effective results in a timely
manner.
Train others and make presentations to mixed audiences of technical and non-
technical employees.
Performs other duties as necessary or required.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED IN JOB
Personal computer skills, to include experience with spreadsheets, pivot tables,
presentations, graphics software and database management.
Visual/auditory acuity required to operate equipment and see/hear warning
alarms.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Machinery may produce noise levels that exceed SHE’s action level. Employees
are provided with and are required to wear personal hearing protection devices in
these areas.
Proper PPE is provided with and required to wear safety glasses, hair nets,
uniform smock, steel-toed shoes (depending on specific department
requirements.); must wear safety gloves.
All employees are properly trained in use of adjunct lifting/moving equipment
and proper body mechanics;

Depending on cleaning and sanitizing procedure, employee will be trained and
provided with appropriate personal protective equipment (i.e., respirator, dust
mask, gloves, face shield and/or apron).

instrumentation and controls.

Must have proven leadership skills.
Communicate well verbally and in written formats while working in a liaison role
between Production, Marketing, and Suppliers.
May perform other duties and projects as required.
