Dear Sirs
I have personally known Mr Moran for over twelve years, during which time he has
undertaken a number of varied positions all of which he has accomplished with a high
degree of success. He has always been willing to accept change and has taken on a
number of challenging jobs.
• PRODUCTION OPERATIVE - Soon after joining the company it became evident
that he possessed a high level of skill whilst he carried out his duties, he had the
aptitude to interpretate specifications and have the ability to efficiently utilize
materials.
• PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - As the result of the above skills he was
promoted to Production Supervisor. As a relatively new starter he had to
overcome some resentment from longer serving employees following his
promotion, this he successfully managed. He was not in this position very long as
we required an experienced production operative to help commission and produce
programs for a new CNC cutting machine we purchased.
• CNC PROGRAMMER - His self taught skills on PC's enabled him to quickly
adapt to the needs of the CNC, he was soon able to produce accurate programs.
The success of the work he achieved on the CNC brought him directly into
contact with Designers of our customers. He assisted by producing more complex
shapes and products. He was then given an assistant who he taught to carry on the
day to day programming, he then took on a new position Sales Co-ordinator.
• SALES - CO-ORDINATOR - In this capacity he had direct dealings with
customers assisting the Sales Department with producing and developing proto-
type samples for them. He also developed various costing and production-
planning systems on the PC's which were quickly adopted into our daily
procedure.

2. The factory where he worked was closed and consolidated locally into another of our
divisions, he took responsibility for an enlarged department involving CNC programming
and Production Planning. The growth of production dependency on IT Systems required
a co- ordinator, he was appointed IT Systems Controller.
• IT SYSTEMS CONTROLLER - In addition to the daily requirements of CNC
programming and Production Planning for which he continued to be responsible,
we introduced a totally new production planning system 'Engin Object' that was to
be introduced to all the company sites through out the UK and Europe. Mr Moran
was chosen to pilot and develop the system in the UK. This involved a number of
trips to several of our other sites in Europe. The development of this system
involved a high degree of PC development with net working various PC's and
Servers, to be able to perform this work he had to have a higher degree of access
to company equipment, he was promoted to Production Systems Manager.
• PRODUCTION SYSTEMS MANAGER - This was a Head Office Group position.
In this capacity he was responsible for rolling out Engin Object to other divisions
in the UK. He was also responsible for PC's and computer controlled production
machines on all UK Conversion Sites and was on call for 24 hours. This involved
a considerable amount of travelling and time away from home.
As can be seen from the above Mr Moran has a wide range of Production and PC skills,
he would be an asset to any future employer.
His attendance and time keeping were always of the highest standard, often working from
home at night and weekends.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Moran to any future employer.
