Independent consultant providing value services such as design, construction management and auditing
to small residential and commercial customers. Multiple awards as result of excellent results and high
levels of customer satisfaction.
 Responsible for the design and expansion of Navojoa, Sonora’s “Iglesia Santa Maria del Socorro”,
inclusive of landscape and common areas.
 Design, management and construction of architectural projects that include: residential, institutional,
commercial and sports; awards based off total value inclusive of price, lead time and design features .
 Construction auditor for the City of Hermosillo, ensuring compliance with project plan as well as local,
state and federal regulations. Project: Camino del Seri’s river four mile conversion into main aqueduct
and paving of road above it.
Construction Superintendent – Constructora Mendez D, S.A. de C.V. ( April 2013 – July 2015 )
Hermosillo’s emerging construction management company focusing on small and medium size projects
across the state of Sonora. My role went beyond the typical superintendent’s due to the small size of the
organization, acting as second to the company’s owner/director. Among my responsibilities:

2.  Direct manager to engineers, office staff and construction crews, accountable for their performance,
training, coaching, adherence to policies and procedures and disciplinary actions.
 Draft, submit and follow up of construction tenders for both governmental and private party projects.
 Seek funding for large projects, gathering all necessary information and ensuring all loan criteria is
met.
 Hiring manager for all positions within the company, seeking the best technical and organizational fit.
 Supplier selection and RFQs for large purchases related to specific projects ranging from school
water fountains to large water treatment stations, requiring prompt learning and technical mastery for
better decision making.
 Functional owner for accounts payable and receivables and cash flow management.

Accomplishments:
 Successfully repurposed and restored a 1920’s grain warehouses into Colegio San Jose’s private
kindergarten and elementary school. The project was awarded both State and National Architecture
Award: Bienal de Arquitectura.
 Completed the construction of 50 sport complexes in parallel as part of comprehensive tender by the
State of Sonora; this was a major feat given the logistical complexities and challenging schedule.
 Installed a comprehensive water system for the rural town of San Ignacio Rio Muerto, Sonora; this
system included a water treatment station, holding tank and distribution lines, giving access to
drinking water to over a thousand inhabitants.
 Reconditioning and upgrade of Hermosillo’s Hospital General, inclusive of the installation of elevator,
surgery rooms and burn unit, all this without disrupting day to day operations and in compliance with
local, state and federal laws.
Director of Construction – Proyecta Arquitectura e Ingenieria ( January 2011 – March 2013 )
Responsible for construction management as well as the organization’s management as result of the
company’s small size:
 Design of architectural projects and construction supervision. The projects included: residential,
commercial, institutional, education, infrastructure and master planning.
Accomplishments:
 Restoration of Cinema Ures, project consisting of a decaying 1950’s cinema, reinforcing its structure
and upgrading the facility, thus becoming the regional attraction.
 Joint construction of Hermosillo, Sonora’s Maximum Security Prison – Cefereso Papapo; completed
six prisoner modules and liaison for the main contractor Ingenieros Civiles y Asociados (ICA).
 Expansion multiple private schools in Hermosillo, Sonora such as Colegio Alfaes and Harmon Hall,
inclusive of classrooms and sports courts.
Administrative Coordinator – Construcondo S.A. de C.V. – Las PalomasSeaside Golf Community
( November 2004 – April 2010 )
Las Palomas is Rocky Point’s renowned condo resort widely known for its prime location and superior
infrastructure. Construcondo is Las Palomas construction division and responsible for this large scale
project, its construction, expansions and maintenance. During my tenure at Construcondo I received
multiple promotions and additional responsibility, such as:
 Ensure construction plans were met, subject to scheduled reviews with customer and subcontractors
and enforcing agreed upon contracts, project tasks and milestones.
 Creation of budget requests for facility upgrades or repairs.
 Monthly report creation and presentation to board members.
 Responsible for account payables, timing of payments and vendor management.
Accomplishments:

3.  As project manager, completed Las Paloma’s Phase II – Commercial Building – inclusive of lobby, El
Citron restaurant, convention center, business center, fitness center and offices. This role oversaw
masonry, electrical installations, plumbing, HVAC, telecommunications, fire suppression systems as
well as finishing and detailing.
 As construction manager during Las Paloma’s Phase I, delivered completed courtyard, pools,
mechanical room, walkways, water slides, Jacuzzis and pool bar.
