components are as follows;
A residential and commercial development comprising of high
quality residential accommodation, affordable housing, retail,
commercial, leisure and entertainment outlets, public and
community development.
My role was to design the Hotel building as a start for exploring
the design language. The idea was to create building fabrics
with high end finishes. The language was to use pre-cast walls
to wrap up the buildings thereby providing sun protection for the
façade. Then the same language was used to design the
residential apartments and the sports and recreation building.

Townsville came up with a commercial and mixed use
development and a plaza space.

how folded panels created movement along the building façade
to activate the walk along the boardwalk.

building with restaurant and retail at ground floor, 5 levels of
open deck car park, 3 levels of hotel and 6 typical apartment

MENDS STREET SHORE REDEVELOPMENT PERTH, AUSTRALIA
NORTHSHORE MASTERPLAN
YEAR : 2009
COST : $47M AUD
This is a regional center of 270,000 people. A key feature of this
project was the application of City Information Modeling to
indicatively predict the development yields and infrastructure
imposts of a range of options and link these to growth
projections to enable an evidence based recommendation to be
made to Brisbane City Council for the future structure of the
CBD.
At its heart, Northshore will include 2.5 kilometers of dedicated
riverfront, with a mix of parkland and community space. These
spaces will complement the combination of residential, retail
and commercial opportunities on site.
Over the next 20 years, approximately 15,000 residents are set
to call Northshore home. The precinct will also be the
employment location for around 15,000 in retail precincts and
office parks.
Development within Northshore Hamilton will be based on
principles of excellence in urban design and architecture, best-
