Working Title:
Young Blood
Audience:
So my video is a little film about a detective agency so the audience should be quite varied in the
taste of the viewer. My film is based of a noir flic and my research into that genera the type of
people that are interested in those types of film are the artistic cinematographs that are looking into
the genera for the art style, as well as the type of film for the plot that usually is quite repetitive.
That’s why the cinematographer type watch it to see an art style instead of for the same old story
that they get used too.
How this will affect my work and my film is that I’ll try and adapt my work more to the neo-noir
verity meaning that my story wont me so predictable. Meaning the casual film watchers that are
into films like Blade Runner and John Wick could enjoy the film too. Hopefully meaning a more
casual audience can watch the film. Suited more towards the working and middle class this film is
to entertain and intise audience members into spending time into the back story and hints that the
film left behind.
Looking into gender it really fits into both/ all category’s with the grittiness and someone
aggressive side of a character suited towards the males. And the kind but strong female
characters that may suit more to the females. So my film will suit to both/ all genders because of
the diverse characters that I want to implement.
I want the community preferable the most involved community they can be as well as discussing
and talking about the film afterwards setting up theory’s and speculations of what is going to
happen creating a community that share the same interests.
From my research I found that most of my audience would be above my preferable age rang due
to these nio-noir films I’m looking at that came out sometime ago. So what I’m doing is having
younger actors involved so it could apple more to my 18-20’s age range. This could go into the
NRs grade of: B and A due to the amount of spare time they may have from work and unwind
relaxing time. Having a sense of escapism to the film where the viewer could just watch it and not
think about anything else. And just get immersed in the film. Belonging to the product would be
good to get it out there with trying to spawn a new wave of neo-noir fans that can respect and
enjoy the style in other films.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
What I will do is always reference back to my experiments (video) so I can visually see what I want
to make intend of just saying what I want to the people on set meaning less confusion and the
actors will know what type of shots I’m going for in each scene. How this could effect production is
making it a lot smoother than previous productions due to he extra work I’ll put in to make sure the
pre-production is in top condition. This means I can get straight into production with little to no
hassle in-between. This means in the time frame I have I will be able to make a lot more content
then my last product. The impact of the more content will be a more professional selling point for it,
making more to go with the film along side the product.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
My idea is to make a neo-noir detective film, where all the characters can resemble and relate to
them. Having developed characters is a thing I need for this film, because its so serious I want the
characters to seem more real to them. To ensure this I’m going to make profiles on the website for
the film giving more backstory and character to each person than they already have. This will
mean if people really want to have a full experience of the film they can look into it on there own
terms with the characters having more drive and emotion to them. Another thing I want to do is
create a stepping-stone for a future instalment if it go’s well.
Some of the key aspects of the work will be the fact that this will inertly done in black and white.
This will make the film feel more noir to it essapssaly wit the detective theme too. This means that
I can put the film in the neo-noir genera because of these themes. Having this classification will
mean I completed my task of making a neo-noir film. The fact of if I will be good or not is down to
the viewer although the main intention is to get viewers to involve spare time into the film means
that it probably will have to be.

Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
How I plan on evaluating my work is having people rate it as a film, as well as taking a look at how
many views on YouTube and the website gets this will make me see if my advertising has worked
out as well as how the reception of the film is. This will let me see if my product worked to entertain
and latch audiences onto the film. Meaning if they want more the community can drive the film on
by the popularity of it.
