Objectives: To transition to Inside/Outside sales including researching, contacting and meeting with existing and new
customers for increased revenue and to capture more market share. In the MAJORITY of the companies/positions
described and held below, I was the lead person to train new Reps and to bring up to speed existing Reps on new
products being newly designed and manufactured. This extended to OEMs, distributors, supply stores and end users.
All that was part of an effort to market our products to customers that are using competitorsโ products such as Fisher
by educating them on how our companyโs product are equivalent if not better than the competitor function and price
wise. Also, putting a huge effort in getting our name products specified in specs and data sheets by OEMs and
Engineering companies.

check valves, butterfly valves, choke valves, fuel control valves, magnetic gauges and glass sites, filter regulators
Responsibilities included but not limited to providing technical sales support for the company product lines and
determining the best fit Norriseal-Wellmark technical solution given customer requirements and/or process data.

lot of traveling including overnight trips by car or plane which some of it was a last minute call to get to the installation
site to trouble shoot and resolve the problem or assisting in commissioning new projects.
Please note: From the end of 2012 to the end of 2013 I was in Lebanon taking care of my sick father.
MICROSTAQ, Austin, Texas Apr 2010 โ Dec 2012
Applications Engineer (contract position)
Learned the concept and application of Micro-Elecro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) valves that Microstaq has patented
with the new chip Ventilum, which is the latest advancement is super efficient fluid control technology.
The majority of duties consist of retrofitting these Silicon Expansion Valves (SEV) with Super Heat Controllers (SHC) in
supermarket refrigeration systems by supervising contractors brazing the valves in place of the old Thermal Expansion
Valve (TXV). The SHC consists of a thermocouple and a pressure sensor placed at the suction line that feeds signals back
to the SEV to open and close to optimize Super Heat, which translates into better efficiency and lower Kilowatt
consumption. The TXV only relies on a temperature sensing bulb to feed back to the valve, which makes it less accurate
and efficient. In addition to installing the SHC, also hooked up the networking to the SHCโs that run to a main hub with
terminals connected to an RS485 Box with a USB to a laptop to remotely adjust settings and gains on the controller to
control the refrigerant going through the valve.
VALVTECHNOLOGIES, Houston TX Sep 2009 โ Mar 2010
Applications Engineer
Prepared quotations for metal seated Ball Valves and Gate Valves for severe service applications to South East Asia
including the following countries: Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New
Zealand. Industries included Power, Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbons, Mining, Nuclear and Specialty Products. Managed several
large projects over $2 million.
All designs are per ASME, API, NEC and OSHA
Sized and selected pneumatic, electric and hydraulic actuators for valve automation. Responsible for maintaining a sales
quote log and sales order log on a weekly basis. Reviewed customersโ inquiries for application requirements and
commercial terms and conditions. Prepared quotations for both day-to-day business and large projects in response to
customer inquiries in accordance with controlled prices, discounts, terms & conditions and sales policies & procedures.
Reviewed customer purchase orders for correct pricing, discounts, Terms & Conditions, and part numbers; and prepared
for / completed associated order entry. Responded to all customer requests for sales order status, expedited emergency
shipment of parts and service kits, documentation, Operating and Maintenance instructions, drawings, and Bills of
Materials. Assisted other departments (i.e., Engineering, Purchasing, Production) to resolve problems related to customer
sales and service.
AMOT CONTROLS/ROPER INDUSTRIES, Houston TX Feb 2007 โ May 2009
Applications Engineer/Sales Engineer
Prepared quotations for 3-way thermostatic valves, air shut off valves, temperature and pressure switches, and various
other instruments. Submitted quotations for both day-to-day business and large projects in response to customer inquiries
in accordance with controlled prices, discounts, terms & conditions and sales policies & procedures. Provided technical
support and troubleshooting assistance for customers, internal customer service and various departments within the
AMOT organization. Reviewed customerโs technical specifications and selected the correct material and product according
to the application and operating conditions supplied.
Automation of many electromechanical processes and Programmable Controller via a digital computer used for
automation of electromechanical processes for actuation and start up of skids at natural gas transportation sites.
Specifically automation of actuators and I/P control systems
3. Frank Jabra Page 3
Performed monthly training sessions for AMOT employees and did customer and distributor training via Web-X and by
traveling to their site. Participated in all gas and oil trade shows such as OTC, Turbo machinery show, GMRC, Canada Oil
and Gas show. Field travel to diagnose and resolve customer issues. End user customers included all major OEMs such as
Caterpillar, EMD, Cummins, IR, Doosan, Solar Turbines, Northrop Grumman, Fairbanks Morse and Atlas Copco.
Handled large projects for Solar Turbines exceeding 200 Million dollars which involved skids that went to gas compression
stations. The skids comprised of several pieces of equipment, mainly Ariel and/or Solar compressors, CAT gas engines that
compressed natural gas to high pressure. Compressor stations are completely automated, so the equipment can be started
or stopped from a pipeline's central control room.
Got involved in studies of Hydrocracking, where I gained knowledge of hydrocracking and its purpose.
TYCO VALVES & CONTROLS / GIMPEL, Houston TX Sep 2004 โOct 2006
Project Manager/Applications Engineer (Gimpel Valves)
Managed commercial and Military (Navy) projects from cradle to grave for a safety valve manufacturer of a safety valve
that normally mounts directly on the main steam chest of the turbine or in front of the governor valve. Its purpose is to
shut flow of steam instantaneously in case of over speed or any other dysfunction in the system.
Took classes teaching how Natural gas is processed using cryogenic systems for NGLs. Also learned about gas separation
using filters or gas scrubbers, dehydration which used Glycol dehydrator and conditioning line heater and coolers
depending on whether itโs during lowering pressure so water wonโt form or on wellheads.
Sized and selected valves in accordance with pressure class, material of construction, and pressure containing boundaries
such as body castings, covers and bolting. Worked with all internal departments such as engineering, quality,
manufacturing, planning and purchasing to resolve customer issues. Reviewed order contract for all OEM and end user
requirements and developed an engineering folder giving specific instructions as to what type of materials, piping and
design the engineer must follow to develop a bill of material. Customer contact for any technical or non-technical
questions relating to their orders. Traveled to visit customers within the US and internationally for customer training and
technical support.

customers pertaining to the whole line of Dresser actuation (RCS/Andco).
โข Implemented new designs and modified existing designs that were associated with multiple customer issues.
โข Developed new features that were added to the existing line of actuation products that upgraded and enhanced
the existing models such as remote control and non- intrusive operation.
โข In cases inductive devices that can create voltage spikes and may need snubbers, Although most industrial
applications have low enough voltage and current ratings they can be connected directly to the PLC outputs which
I was in charge of.
