Software Controls Specialist 12/00 – 05/15
 Responsible for creating embedded controller software for 20+ models of gas/chemical cabinets, valve manifold boxes, and
bulk delivery systems for safe operation of gases/chemicals to the semiconductor industry.
Troubleshoot software issues for field technicians worldwide at locations such as Samsung, Intel, TSMC, IMFT, and Global
Foundries. Help to resolve operational problems, technical questions,and software bugs through onsite visits,email
correspondence,instant messengertexts, and phone calls.
 Write software, problem solve systemerrors, and provide technical support to the 15+ employees at the US manufacturing
facility so standard product lines and ETO orders can be delivered on time
 Traveled quarterly to Air Products Carlsbad, CA facility for new product development. Worked with product management
chemists, and systems engineers to help design the latest chemical delivery equipment. Created ideas from concept and
transformed into innovative software logic for a finished, sellable product undertight schedule.
 Trained 3+ employees from Daido Air Products (DAP), Japan on how to configure and write software from Air Products
proprietary embedded systems software.
 Commissioned 50+ gas and chemical delivery systems worldwide. Trained field technicians onsite on equipment software
and functional operation.
 Create software for testing new build controllers at suppliers such as Zober and Britech,
 Participated in third party EMC testing of Air Products gas/chemical equipment. Prep equipment prior to testing, write test
software, accompany equipment to third party test lab, and monitor/debug equipment during EMC tests.
 Performed and created test software for highly accelerated life testing (HALT) investigations on new controller designs and
platforms.
 Support new product development software activities that look to reduce costs,increase sales, and improve overall gross
margins. Examples include designing and defining low-cost, competitive controllers for the US, European, and Asian markets.
 Interact with field technicians worldwide to update them on controller and gas systemchanges,to hear their feedback on
equipment, and to incorporate their suggestions into the systemsoftware design.
Quality Assurance and Functional (QAF) Testing 02/96 – 12/00
 Responsible for quality and operational assurance for 10+ gas delivery systemtypes.
 Functional test all operational modes of equipment to ensure systemreliability.
 Test equipment software to guarantee alarms functioned and reacted as intended,verify electrical component operation, and
validate air operated and manual valves functioned correctly.
 Check that cabinet panel and tubing met customer specifications. Test for leaks, electrical continuity, flow direction, and
pressurization.
 Traveled to Ansan,Korea to train QAF technicians and welders upon Air Products acquisition of Han Yang Technologies
(HYT). Transferred US manufacturing technology to the new Air Products’facility. Set up clean room welding program and
trained welders in orbital tube welding.
 Visited our Air Products European branch in Cardiff , Wales and demonstrated proper welding technique for three and four
inch tube ultra high purity welding.
Certified Welder 03/92 – 02/96
 Performed orbital tube welding for stainless steeland alloy materials.
 Programmed and fine tuned 20 + recipes for orbital welding machines due to different thicknesses and material types.
 Developed procedure for reading back pressure during welding that used a magnehelic for reduced rework and cost savings.
Awarded manufacturing excellence design award for revolutionary welding technique. Saved company $100,000+ in rework
costs.
