4. • Description - train station to show the couple getting
on a train to travel to other locations.
• Suitability – multiple locations we could film at
(multiple platforms so we can film on the quietest
one), however it may be busy which may compromise
some of the shots or make some of the people there
uncomfortable.
• Lighting – As we will be filming in the morning the
majority of the light will be natural light from the sun.
• Mood – As this is the initial scene the mood of the
characters is at its lowest which is reflected in the
lighting which gets brighter as the video progresses in
tandem with the sun position in the sky.
• Potential locations - Luton Parkway as it is a close train
station and fits what we are looking for. Luton station
for similar reasons and St Pancras as it is one of the
largest stations in an achievable distance.
6. • Description - Interior of train showing the couple
travelling between locations.
• Suitability - May be people walking up and down the
aisles which may make it difficult to film, the same
problem if the train is busy it may be difficult to find a
few free seats together. However we will be on two
long journeys at different times so one should be quiet
enough to get some footage.
• Lighting – As it is an interior shot the source of natural
lighting comes from the large windows next to the
seats.
• Mood – As this scene is still prior to the couples change
of perspective the mood and lighting of the scene will
still be lower than the later scenes.
• Potential locations – A train from the station we
initially film at.
8. • Description - train station to show the couple getting
off a train at the new location.
• Suitability – it may be busy which may compromise
some of the shots or make some of the people there
uncomfortable.
• Lighting – As this scene is all filmed in the interior the
lighting is a mix between natural from the large
windows and artificial light from the lights in the
station.
• Mood – As this scene is still prior to the couples change
of perspective the mood and lighting of the scene is
slightly colder as natural light tends to be more gold in
colour and creates warmer looking footage whereas
this scene uses artificial lights as the main source.
• Potential locations – Brighton Station or South end
central as they are the stations we would get off at in
each location.
10. • Description – Beach front, surrounded by shops
and people walking along.
• Suitability – It is highly likely that quite a lot of
people will be walking along the front however
this may create a sense of realism in the piece.
• Lighting – By the time we get to film this scene it
will be afternoon, so the natural light of the sun
will be at its apex and therefore the brightest part
of the day.
• Mood – During this scene the mood shifts to a
happier tone which is matched by the slightly
warmer and brighter lighting of the scene than
the previous scenes.
• Potential locations - Brighton or South end front
as it matches what we want and also features the
other locations we require.
12. • Description – Seaside Pier
• Suitability - Open area outdoor area so lots of
natural lighting, similar to the front in terms of
people.
• Lighting – this scene will be filmed directly after
the front scene so the natural light from the sun
will be at a similar level.
• Mood – This scene is after the mood shift so the
happier tone will continue throughout this scene
as well.
• Potential locations – Brighton or South end Pier
as they are both large piers with lots on it and is
in the same location as the other locations.
14. • Description – Beach
• Suitability – A common location in music videos of this
genre as it is such a large area should be able to find
empty spots and also usually quietens down as the day
goes on so it should be easy enough to get the shots
we require.
• Lighting – this is the final scene so at this point the suns
light should be dimmer than in the previous scenes,
however its reducing natural light will still be our
source of light.
• Mood – This scene is the final scene where the couple
remove the cuffs so the mood of the scene is happy
but has a mawkish feel.
• Potential locations - Brighton or South end beach as
both are large beaches and may show the other
locations from the rest of the production in the
background.
