2. Why is it effective?
I have chosen to review a music video from
Great Baddow Media.
This video is effective because:
■ It has an original and unique idea
■ The setting of the music video works well along side the effects they have
incorporated which furthermore makes the video unique and helps it to stand out
from others
■ They have experimented with a wide range of shots including low angle shots,
medium and close-up shots in the different locations of the music video
■ The transitions and cuts are in time with the beat of the song especially in the main
chorus
3. Conclusion
■ In conclusion I would give this music video a level 4 grade 32 as they have
chosen a good song which works well in conjunction to the setting and the mise
en scene as well as incorporated various effects to help the video stand out
which makes it unique.
■ They also have a good understanding of the song which has enabled them to
make various cuts and transitions in time with the beat which again helps the
video to flow juxtaposed to being quite jumpy in regards to the cuts.
4. Digipak

It is clear that the artist is
the main feature on the
digipak which helps
audiences see the artist
straight away.
EBI:
• Text could have been
more clear as it just
blends in with the
background.
• The digipak doesn’t
really stand out as dull
brown colours have
been used.
• Artist doesn’t really
stand out either and
doesn’t have her own
unique USP as she just
looks like an ordinary
teenage girl
