Lesson plan

  • 1. RPP IDENTITY School : SDN 16 Banda Aceh Subject : English Time allocation : 2 x 35 minutes Aspect/Skill : Listening Competence Standard : 5. Responding simple instruction and information with act and language in the students’ environment context. Basic Competence : 5. 1 Responding simple instruction with acceptable act in or out of school context. Theme : Healthy Habits Students’ expected character: Trustworthiness Respect Diligence Responsibility Courage Learning objectives 1. Cognitive: a. Knowledge Students know the examples of healthy habits activities. b. Comprehension Students comprehend the kind of healthy habits activities. 2. Affective: a. Receiving phenomena Students pay attention to the process of learning English about Healthy Habits. b. Responding to phenomena Students participate actively in the process of learning English Healthy Habits. 3. Psychomotor: a. Perception Students are able to distinguish which one the kinds of healthy habits and the kinds of unhealthy habits activities. b. Mechanism Students are able to use dictionary accurately in translating word relates to healthy habits activities. Indicator: 1. Cognitive a. Knowledge Students are able to identify which one the kind of activities involved in healthy habits and unhealthy habits.
  • 2. b. Comprehension Students are able to give example about some healthy habits. 2. Affective: a. Receiving phenomena Students have a good participation in the process of learning English about Healthy Habits. b. Responding to phenomena Students have a good interaction in the process of learning English about Healthy Habits. 3. Psychomotor: a. Perception Students are able to practice several activities of healthy habits. b. Mechanism Students are able to arrange sequence of healthy habits activities. Learning Materials:  Kids classroom Video-Healthy Habits activities. Learning Method:  Approach: Computer Based Instruction  Technique: Audio visual Steps of Learning Activities: No ACTIVITIES TEACHER STUDENTS 1. Pre- activity (10’) a. Apperception b. Motivation  Greeting  Asking the students to pray before learning  Checking the students’ attendance list  Giving motivation for the student by asking them about their experience in watching cartoon film.  Greeting  Praying  Paying attention to their own names  Telling the students’ experience about watching cartoon film  Listening to teacher’s explanation.
  • 3.  Informing the topic of lesson 2. Whilst-activity (50’) a. Exploration (5’) 1. The teacher asks the students’ habits in daily life. Example:  What do you do to stay healthy?  What kinds of exercise do you do?  Really..? Is it one of healthy habits? 1. The students respond to the teacher’s question about the students’ habits in daily activity. Example:  I do exercises. (possible answer)  I swim in a swimming pool every week. (possible answer)  Yes, it is (possible answer) b. Elaboration (40)  Explaining several kinds of healthy habits and unhealthy habits.  Giving instruction about students’ task.  Deviding students into some groups.  Giving worksheets.  The teacher gives some time for the students to think about the kinds of  Paying attention to teacher’s explanation.  Students pay attention to the teacher‘s instruction.  Students sit based on their groups.  Looking at the worksheets.  The students think about the kinds of healthy habits that are shown in the worksheets.

Post-activity (10’)  Teacher together with students concludes the topic of learning.  Teacher gives task.  Students together with teacher conclude the topic of learning.  Doing task.
