• ARC provides regional perspectives on FAO’s
strategies and priorities
• ARC formulates concrete recommendations on
regional results (enhanced efficiency and
effectiveness).
• ARC exercises oversight of the functions and activities
of FAO in the region,

• These recommendations complement and inform the
discussions during ARC sessions on the Programme of
Work, the Regional Priority Framework and the Regional
initiatives conducted in the region.
• Regional technical commissions should be encouraged to
better consider the recommendations of the Regional
Conference.
• Cooperation of the Regional Conference with the other
governing bodies as well as other partners be strengthened.
