3. Cinematography
This is a mid-shot of the model Daniel Craig, this
is an effective shot as we are able to see his
composure and his facial expression. He looks
directly at the camera so he is very authoritative,
confident , and strong character, his facial
expression shows a very serious and stern look this
causes tension and connotes that there will be a lot
of action and reveals who the main character is.
4. Mise-en-scene
He is wearing a turtle neck and trousers shows a
strong character as we are cable to see his posture.
The iconography used is a gun which can
symbolise danger and action also because he has a
gun holder so he needs it by him so it could also be
used for protection and a watch revealing that he
may not have a lot of time left. There is a use of
low key lighting to establish secrecy and a sense of
mystery and danger which are phrases associated
with action movies.
5. Unique Selling Point
The unique selling point of this poster is that the
movie is a very popular franchise and also the
character is a very important brand name “James
Bond”, they don’t include credits because he is a
well known character as well as the production
company and director as the target audience may
already be aware if this such. The is no
information about its release apart from its coming
soon this leaves the target audience eager and
anticipating more.
6. Title/Colours
"Spectre" the title is slightly fragmented
suggesting a change or breakthrough which could
link to the main character, it's also bold and white
and in the middle of the poster. The main colours
used are black and white to represent secrecy and
innocence. The brand logo "007" is recognisable
people will be able to identify with the logo and is
unique to the franchise.
