We use the Present perfect+since/for talk about
how long present situations have lasted.
• Since is used when we are talking about
something that started at a particular point of
time in the past.
We have known each other since 1990.
• For is used when we are talking about a period
of time.
We have known each other for 16 years.
13. • She’s been married for 4 years.
• They’ve known each other
since last April.
