1. To Whom it concerns.
Emma Butt joined Screen Scene in April 2006 as a runner.
Her desire to learn, work ethic and excellent nature with colleagues and clients, ensured that she was
promoted to audio assistant after a short space of time, looking after session preparation and
management for the engineers.
She also helped to cover reception and her friendly and competent manner was
always appreciated by clients at the first point of contact. Emma quickly proved herself to be a
dedicated and invaluable member of the team. She assisted on as many sessions as she could and
would stay late on her own, in order to practice and perfect what she had learned from the engineering
team.
Her competence was such, that she was quickly given charge of her own sessions, with clients, who
were more than happy to have Emma at the controls.
Her relaxed and cool under pressure nature, ensured her progress
from assistant to full time engineer and mixer and is now an in demand member of the team.
Emma’s dedication to learn technical skills and client management skills have seen her grow a
varied client base ( both domestic and international ), across all areas of the audio department.
She is equally at home on a commercial session, ADR, animation, documentary / broadcast and
magazine shows. She has a desire to progress into feature mixing and has been fine tuning her
skills to this effect. Emma also has a great understanding of project management. She has been
involved in planning and delivery of projects of various sizes of budget and complexity.
Emma has gained a great deal of knowledge and experience and has all the capabilities to be
an exceptional asset to any future employers. It is with great sadness that she has decided to
move on from the Screen Scene team and we will miss her but new challenges are ahead for her stellar
audio career and we wish here every success in that.
I have no hesitation in recommending her to any employer she may work for in the future.
Sincerely,
Jim Duggan MD
