Setting
Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have
been used to create specific soundtrack elements
The music at the start of the cut scene is an upbeat piece to signify that this is the
good ending and it kind of gives of a “happily ever after” feel to the end of the story.
The beginning piece of music Could have been
produced with real instruments as there isn’t
really anything with a synthesized kind of sound,
there are only instruments like the bass guitar
that play.
The background music that plays when the credits stat to roll show that it is the final
scene and that everything has settled down and that they have come out on top for
once in this whole story.
Mood
The mood created by the soundtrack and the individual sounds is one of happiness
and peace and really encapsulates Trevor and Michael reforming their friendship
and the three of them cutting their ties to this man that is blackmailing them. The
explosion from the car exploding shows all of their problems going away and gives a
feeling of relief.
Game genre
As this is an action game, there are plenty of sounds to do with action such as
explosions and crashing sounds.
Narrative
The dialogue in this scene is really interesting and satisfying to hear after all you
have been through in the game and it even as a bit of humour in there to spice
things up.
The music used at the end of thecut scene is a
song by Favoured Nations called the setup and it
was probably recorded in a studio with the
instruments both recorded in the studio and
composed digitally.
The explosion sound effect sounds like a re used
sound asset that has been used in different games
as well as multiple times in this game already so it
was probably taken from a sound library or
digitally created.
The sound of the car hitting the rocks when it falls
cut have been created in a studio with a man
hitting a piece of metal or it may have been taken
from a sound library just like the explosion sound.
The voice actors recorded the dialogue in a
studio, reading off scripts into a microphone.
