2. The use of a studio allows more space, plain backgrounds so that we just focus on the
model. The use of a green screen is beneficial because we can edit effects, backgrounds
and various other things over the top easier.
The use of natural surroundings is
valuable because they are easily
accessible and work well as a
simplistic background.
The use of city monuments makes the magazine look more
fascinating and provides a sense of journey as in through
musical industry.
3. The use of instruments provides an idea of what the music
magazine genre is.
Guitar is indie, drum kit is rock so indie rock.
Camera equipment such as lighting, tripod and a camera
creates a professional outcome.
4. The different costumes here; are some that I am going to
try and follow as close as I can for my magazine to try and
create the genre of music-Indie Rock.
There is a variety of clothing on this page casual, to smart
casual, this is because I want a variety of photos for
different aspects of my magazine.
5. These photos are effective on the cover of a magazine because they all show the artist/artists that the magazine is about. They are all effective because they use different shots
to capture the celebrity. Some are long shots involving whole body shots, where as some others are more close up and involved with the artist. They are also very effective
because they are sharp photographs and very clear.
This magazine featuring “Ed Sheeran” on the cover is my favourite because the way he is positioned and the overall layout is effective because the
clothing, lighting and use of props really brings out what the music genre is.
