2. When designing this part of the magazine I had less trouble as I had not got to the stage
of having a first attempt like the other 2 pages as I felt that the theme of my last design
was poor and creating the double page spread would have been a waste of time.
So when thinking of the design I had non of my previous work to compare to as I didn’t
have to do a double page spread for my preliminary task. As I personally read magazines
regularly I am familiar with the structures and layouts of the magazines similar to mine.
When thinking previously I knew that I wanted to write an article on my very own band
as I have lots of information photo’s and could ask each of the members personally for
interviews and Ideas for what they think should go into the magazine. As we have just
finished recording the album in the summer the main task was easier to write up as it
was a current event.
The content of the article will be detailed and include interviews with the band with
questions asked by the producers on the new album. The language will be fairly informal
and casual but informative of the relevant detail of the band. Within the content I also
plan to reveal plans for writing more albums in the future to give the fans what they
want.
3. My plan in place
After looking through my photo album I had no doubts which photos would be on the
spread as I had already pictured a structure in my head of what I wanted the page to look
like. This is the plan I quickly drew up on paint to use as my base to build on.
4. The Pictures I plan to use
The following images are the
images I am using in my double
page spread, like the plan on the
previous slide. The middle of the
page should be in line with the
centre of the image on the big band
image, which is why I though it
would be a good photo to use.
