2. WHEN THEY STARTED.
High Focus Records is still a relatively new recording company stated
up in 2010.
They started relatively small but as they began to sign artists with a big
following their name became more recognizable.
Artists like Leaf dog, Fliptrix, Dirty Dike
Once theses artists became signed they began to bring in the views on

3. THE ARTISTS THEY SIGN
Dirty Dike, Verb T, Leaf dog, Fliptrix, Jam Baxter, Dabbla, Illinformed, Ed Scissor, Ocean Wisdom, Strange U and
until very recently Rag ‘N’ Bone Man.
These artists grew in popularity and re- invent the UK Hip hop scene whilst keep that old school sound that
everyone loved.
Albums like Leaf dogs – “From a Scarecrows perspective” gave a fresh feel.
Because they signed all theses artists at roughly the same time and the fact that they new of each other before
hand meant that they all became quick friends. They even formed small groups like “the Four Owls” which
consists of Leaf Dog, Fliptrix, Verb T, and BVA.

4. GENRE
The studio mainly focuses on the traditional 90s era “boom bap Hip-
Hop and rap.
They also focus on collaborating two different genres like soul with hip-
hop.
They bring many older hip hop genres together with a modern twist,
breathing life back into a genre which was dying in England and being
overtaken in America.
Now with High Focus bringing in new and old sounds it puts the UK
Back on the map for Hip Hop.
