ML – Innovative Particle Monitoring
Technologies aims to become a leader of
in-process particle monitoring in water
before and after filtration. Monitoring includes
sizing classification in a wide size range down to
nanoparticles.
PML is a spin off from the Technion – Israel
Institute of Technology in Haifa. The company’s
technologies are in the advanced R&D stage and
financing has been received from the Israeli gov-
ernment, the European Union and an Australian
strategic partner.
The PML Solution
Uses advanced “Structured non-Gaussian Dark
Beam”, scanning Laser technology for in-process:
Particle size analysis (down to the NANO level)
Particles concentration measurement
Discrimination among mixed populations
Operates in liquid and gas
Compact (small “foot-print”)
Monitors wide range of concentrations from
10 to 100 million particles per ml
High sensitivity in a wide particle size range
(0.1-300m)
High resolution of particle sizes

Unique Advantages
Provides automatic in-process monitoring of
sub-micron particles. PML goes to the nano
world! (Means detections of viruses, bacteria,
parasites and other micro-particles).
Provides automatic in-process discrimination
between particles categories. (Such as viruses,
bacteria, algae, clay, carbon and more)
Core Patented Technology
A novel synthetic non-Gaussian (dark) beam is gen-
erated and used in a scanning laser configuration.
PML has developed a technology and system that
are based upon a unique structured non-Gaussian,
“dark” laser beam, interacting with the particles.
The technology enables automatic, continuous,
in-process monitoring of particle sizes (including
nano-particles!) and concentrations, in water be-
fore and after filtration.
Automatic Differentiation
The system also automatically differentiates be-
tween particles categories, such as clay, carbon,
algae, germs, parasites, submicron viruses and
more, according to their optical properties, by
employing artificial intelligence tools on the laser-
particle interaction signal.
The system is compact; offers high sensitivity and
resolution in a wide particle size and concentra-
tion range.
