2. STORY BOARD
The story board as you can see it is very short due to the fact is that the music video there
is not really storyline to draw about the music video because I'm planning to get the clips
and just edit them to my liking of where I think which scene/shots fits the best.
3. EQUIPMENT/LOCATION
Equipment/ Props/ Costume
needed
Locations needed
4 Confetti cannons My house Living room
Party hats Belmont Park
2 Single bed sheets Conyngham Hall, Knaresborough
Canon 4000d
Phone camera lenses
Sofa to sit on for the skit
Laptop
4. EQUIPMENT/LOCATION EXPLAINED
Luckily enough I don't have to worry about the availability of the equipment as I have my own equipment
which is less stressful in the sense of, I will not have to wait for to use equipment if someone has booked the
equipment before me and if the equipment did come in late or perhaps, I have forgotten to book for
equipment when I need it, this would be very damaging on my work for production as if I didn’t have the
equipment, I wouldn’t be able to get any of my footage at all. And I will be also able to edit my music video
with the Adobe applications from home which is great so when I am at home, I can spend more editing clips
and I won’t have to rely on fully at my time at college to edit my music video.
The equipment I will be using the Canon 4000d to film the skit for my music
video that will be featured at the beginning, and I will also be using the Canon
for most of the clips for my music video and I say most of clips because I will
also be using my iPhone XR film some of the clips to give some the clips in the
music video a more natural look to it and its not too professional. With my
phone I will also be using phone camera lenses that involve a fisheye lens, super
wide-angle lens and a macro lens. With the lenses the crew and I will filming
with them as much we can. When filming with camera we will be using two
different tripods to hold the camera we don’t want to drop and break/damage
the camera.
One of the tripods is a flexible tripod which is good because it is not too big like
a standard tripod and the legs of the tripod can move flex and into positions
that useful for when my crew and I film each other walking it is unlikely that the
camera will fall adding to that having the strap of the camera on our necks will
be very unlikely any situation of that sort will happen.
The second tripod is just a standard tripod of where we will be using when we will be walking into the skit and some
shots of outside of where it would need both of us in the shot.
5. EQUIPMENT/LOCATION EXPLAINED
My living room will be the first scenery you see, this where the skit will be held and why
chose to have the skit there is because it is place suitable to have the skit of how friends
hang can meet up and hang out after no seeing each other after awhile also it fits to the
idea of where one of characters will turn on the tv and the music video will start.
Conyngham in Knaresborough is a location I will be filming the music video part of the
music video and that will consist of different shots from my camera and phone of the two
characters living life to the fullest. There isn’t really actions we are going to do there, the
shots will be improvised to make more natural looking.
Belmont Park and other parks we will going around to film and the shots will be very
similar to the shots at Conyngham Hall.
6. BUDGET
ITEMS COST
CONFETTI CANNON 4X £1.99
SINGLE BED SHEETS 2X £5.00
PARTY HATS WITH BLOWOUTS £8.99
TOTAL £26.95
Looking at my finances I can afford the items I need for my my music video which is great
if won’t affect my work negatively this time, which something I need to consider massively
in my next project as it could have ensured an effect in my project and if I can continue
with my project.
7. CONTIGENCY PLAN
Potential Issue Solution
The memory card storage getting full
when filming clips
I will be taking a spare memory card that doesn’t have that
footage on there so in any situation the memory card would run
out of storage, I will have my second memory card with me when
out filming and I will make sure to check my filming bag to see
that the second memory card is in there before going out to film.
Battery running out charge The night before filming I will charging my camera so it will be
full charge, but if there is possibility that the camera battery may
run out when filming I will would switch to film some of shots in
phone as I will need shots from my phone Afterall.
One of the cast/crew may trip or fall and may
injury themselves
My crew and I will make measures to avoid this type of situation
happen when filming, we will look around the area where we are
filming and remove any potential hazards before filming.
Losing my work This happening will most likely not happen for reasoning is that after
finishing my shots I will send them to myself through email and after every
shot I will film I will review the clips see how they look and if it there and
but the worst comes to it where everything is gone I would to have to plan
day to refilm my music video
8. HEALTH & SAFETY
Potential Issue How will the issue be avoided?
One of the cast/crew may catch
covid
We will be tested a day or two prior from us shooting and let
each other know the results and if one does test for positive
them the person will have to self isolate. But we will try as much
as possible to follow the covid guidelines such as keeping 2m
distance and try as much to avoid physical contact.
Some one may become ill (not
covid related)
We would reschedule our day of filming for a day where the cast
or crew has recovered.
9. SCHEDULE FOR PRODUCTION
When planning for production which is filming the skit and filming the music video
is important to plan a schedule that will work well for my time and my crew’s time,
but I also must consider the deadline of this project, I’ll have 4 weeks for
production in between the months of April and May. But unfortunately, due to the
fact I have made changes to my project to the last minute, the first week of
production the12th of April I will be working on my Pre-production which it could
have a negative effect on my ending product, but I do not think it will entirely ruin
it. Yes, I will be working on my pre-production when I am at college but after
college when I return my crew and I have had planned to meet on the Thursday to
film the skit and the beginning of the music video and we will possibly meet up on
the Sunday the 18th. I will try my best to not let the first week of production go to
waste. The fist session of filming will be the skit where the cast/crew will have a
rundown of the script and will practice the scene then film the actual scene. Also,
withing the first week of filming we may film the beginning clips of the music video
if possible if not we will film the beginning clips on second week of production.
For the rest of the weeks of production, there isn’t really a fixed schedule as my crew cast have
colliding schedules and we will film whenever we can and times where I am not filming I will most
likely editing the music video or adding finishing touches to my music video planning as I have
changed my idea last minute and some of my planning is not efficient as it could be but I will be fixing
10. COLOUR SCHEME/COLOUR
GRADING
When it comes to the skit, I want the colour scheme/gradient very bland and dark as way to
signify and give indication to the audience of we all feeling about the pandemic how life is
feeling like when you meet your friends, family and tec again but under very strict
conditions. The skit will be dark lighting but not too dark I think slightly dim lighting
would be suitable. Then when it comes to the music video it will have brighter colours and
undertones to radiate the livelihood to the music video so represent the happiness, brightly
and fun to be either reminiscent of life before covid-19 has hit the UK and or how life could
be again in the potential future.

11. CREW/CAST
This is me; I am director of the project and will be one of the
characters in the music video and the skit, I think with this music
video will turn out to be better than previous one I had made in the
beginning of the academic year as I have someone assisting me with
project, and from the feedback I received from the first music video
I will be trying to improve my skills in this music video. With filming
I am assuming that it will better as I am more experienced, and I am
not totally blind sighted when filming. With editing I will be editing
it by myself with the use tutorial I will be using to improve my
editing as I think to be lacking in that department.
12. CREW/CAST/PERSONNEL
Here I have one out of two the crew here, her name is Sadie. She is part of
the production process of my project and is also one of the characters of
the music video and she plays my very close friend of mine in the music
video. Why I have chosen her to be part of my crew is that she is very
hardworking which is one characteristic I value a lot when I have a project
to do. Sadie has been my model for so many of my photoshoots as you can
see a couple on the left-hand side. When we work together it always goes
flawlessly. Another characteristic that Sadie has that I needed for this
project is her willingness to help, her willingness to help me with this
project although her schedule and my schedule for my production tend to
clash, she is still trying her best help me through my project as much as she
can. Although she particularly doesn’t know much about film making this
music video doesn’t needed trained film skills as I am learning as we are
going since I'm not professional and Sadie will also be learning and this is
would also be a good opportunity for help and ask for feedback in the
current moment of filming.
