1.1 PROBLEM STATEMENT
A descriptive study to assess knowledge and attitude
regarding use of menstrual products
Among College girls of selected
area of Ahmedabad
city
1.2 NEED OF STUDY
 Girls and women have struggled throughout history to combine
menstruation with daily life .Few products are now available in
market like tempon , single use sanitary pads etc . Single use
sanitary pads and cloth is most commonly used. Tempons are
less frequently used in india and also have less knowledge
regarding it.
 Aim of this study is to determine knowledge of girls between age
of 18-21 years regarding available menstrual products in market
.By these girls will also have more accurate idea about how to
use these products .With these we can also reduce cases of
infection occurring due to unhygine and improper use of
menstrual products.
1.3 OBJECTIVES:
 To assess knowledge of girls regarding use of menstrual products like
tempons single use sanitary pads.
 To ease and enhance the healthy lifestyle during mensis period
 To promote healthy hygiene practice with use of these products in our
life.
 To assess the attitude of girls regarding these use of menstrual products
 To change the myth of girls regarding these products
 To promote environmental hygiene.
2. OPERATIONAL DEEFINATION:
Assess:
In this study, it refers to find out knowledge and attitude of girls regarding
use of menstrual products among college girls in Ahmedabad city
Knowledge:
In this study, it refers to find out thinking and perception regarding use of
menstrual products among college girls in Ahmedabad city
Attitude:
In this study, it refers to idea and belief regarding menstrual products among
college girls in Ahmedabad city
Menstruation:
It is defined as monthly cycle of changes in ovaries and endometrium lining
by shedding of layer with blood.
Menstrual products:
It refers to products that is being used during the days of menstruation cycle
Urban area:
It is a geographical area that is located inside the town having high
population density..
3. DELIMITATIONS
•The study is delimited for private colleges only
•The study is delimited for 400 samples only
3.1 LIMITATIONS
• The study is limited for selected area of Ahmedabad only
4. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Inclusive criteria:
Girls who are between age of 18-21 years
Girls who are available at the time of data collection
Exclusive criteria;
Girls who are not willing to participate at time of data collection
5. SELECTION AND RATIONAL OF TOOL :
The tool intended to be used for study is structured knowledge
questionaires and five point likert scale to measure knowledge and
attitude.
6. METHEDOLOGY:

It is an quantitative research approach
6.2 Research design:
The research design selected for this study is descriptive research
study

1Research variable: knowledge and attitude
2.Demographic variable: age , education, residential area , previous
knowledge regarding menstrual products.
3.Target population: girls between 18-21 years of age who are living in
Ahmedabad city.
4.Sample size: the size of samples selected to conduct study on is upto
400 girls in college

Needs of study
Thalassemia is a common genetic blood disorder knowledge
awareness , attitude towards and intention to screen for thelesemia
among college students is poor screening is important because it can
provide early detection of thalassemia carries and help to prevent new
cases
 Why this study we selected ?
This study aimed to determine the level of knowledge of thalassemia ,
its screening programme ,individual attitude towards the programme
and intention to screening among college students in urban area.
Objective
 To assess the knowledge of secoundary scholling children about
thelesemia awareness screening.
 To assess the children about thalassemia.
 To prevent easily detection of thalassemia carries.
 To prevent new cases of thalassemia.
Operational definition
 Assess : A measure to observe the knowledge and attitude of
college student regarding thelesemia awareness screening in urban
area.
 Knowledge : It refers to the perception and thinking of college
student regarding thalassaemia awareness screening which will be
measured by structured questioning .
 Attitude : it refers to the belief and idea about the thalassaemia
awareness screening among college student.
 Awarness: it refers to the knowledge or preception about thalassemia
scrreening test among college student.
 Awareness: it refers to the knowledge or perception about thalassemia
screening test among college students and attitude regarding
thelesemia awareness screening in urban area
 Urban area ; It is a geographic area that is located in side town and
cities have high population density .
Eligible criteria
 Inclusive criteria :
Boys and girls who are willing to participate at time of datacollection
Both sexes who are available at data collecton.
Study is delimited for 400 samples only.
 Exclusive criteria:
Boys and girls who are below 12 year of age .
who are not willing to participant of Time of data collection.
Methodology
Study type and study setting :
 This was on observational descriptive study.it is carryout in the area
Study population :
 This study include secondary schooling students in urban area.
Sample size :
 This study requires only 400/500 samples in population.

1.1 PROBLEM STATEMENT
A study to assess Knowledge Regarding code
blue among staff Nurse in selected
Hospital of Ahmedabad
city .
1.2 NEED OF STUDY
 Code blue is a code of hospital announcement which means that an adult
is having an medical emergency usually cardiac or respiratory arrest it tells
that where the emergency is.
 Cardiac arrest is a medical emergency that is potentially reversible if
treated early, and unexpected cardiac arrest can lead to death and to give
information about these.
 Not everyone having the information about these condition so to provide
early warning sign and symptoms.
 The code blue is the term used to alert the code blue team(resuscitation team) to
an area where a person is having emergency.
3.Objectives :-
 To assess the level of knowledge of Staff regarding code blue protocol
among staff nurse in selected hospitals of Ahmedabad
 To assess level of attitude regarding code blue protocol among staff
nurse in selected hospitals of Ahmedabad
 To enhance knowledge of staff nurse regarding code blue protocol
among staff nurse in selected hospitals of Ahmedabad
4.OPERATIONAL DEFINITIONS :-

Staff nurse.

Code blue:-
It is a resuscitation team in which any Patient with an unexpected cardiac or
respiratory arrest who needs immediate medical attention.
Staff Nurse:-
In this study, it refers to registered nurse who provide high quality come to
Patients in hospital.
Hospital:-
It is a Place obese care, treatments and diagnosis of disease is done of sick
People.

5.DELIMITATIONS:-
The Study is delimited for Private hospitals only.

staff nurse in hospital.

Problem statement
 A study to assess effectiveness of planned teaching programme
on management of diarrhoea among the Mothers of under
Five year age children in selected
areas of ahmedabad
city.
Need of the Study:-
 Global estimation of number of deaths due to diarrhoea among under
fives have shown us steady decline from 4.4 million in 1980 ,2.5 million
in 2000 1.7 million cases in 2005 and 1.9 million in 2007 .
 National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (2006) reported that
diarrhoeal diseases rank second among all infectious diseases as killer
in children below five year of age worldwide. Globally 1.3 billion
episodes occur annually with an average of 2 – 3 episodes per children
per year.
 World Health Organization initiated diarrhoeal diseases control
programme in 1980, approximately 4.6 million children is used to die
each year of the dehydration caused by diarrhoea. The mortality due to
diarrhoea have been reduced to 1.7 million during the year 2004.
 In India like developing countries annual episodes of diarrhoea in
children under five year old, 3.2 episodes per child and 2 billion
episodes globally.
 Annual mortality from diarrhoea in children under five years in
developing countries was 1.8 million deaths and it was decreased from
4.5 million in last 20 years.
Operational Definition:-
Effectiveness
It refers to the extent to which teaching programme was achieved the
desired result intended to measure in terms of difference between pre-test
and post test score.
Teaching Programme
It is systemic and planned teaching programme on management of
diarrhoea which include definition, causes, transmission, signs and
symptoms, management of diarrhoea with help of audio visual aids.
Diarrhoea
It is an inflammation of the mucous membrane of stomach and intestine. It
results in rapid onset of diarrhoea with or without accompanying signs or
symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, fever or abdominal pain.
Mothers of Under Five Children
Mothers who are having children aged between 0 – 5 year old.
Eligibility Criteria:-
Inclusive Criteria
 Mothers who are having under five children.
 Mothers who are living in selected areas..
 Mothers who are willing to participate in the study.
Exclusive Criteria
 Mothers of under five children who are selected for
conducting pilot study.
 Mothers having children more than five years.
Methodology:-
 Research Design
In this study, quasi experimental was adopted to evaluate effectiveness of
teaching programme on management of diarrhoea among the mothers of
under five children.
 Sampling technique
The participants of present study were selected by simple random
sampling technique. It is a probability sampling technique in which
researcher selected the participants based on age of children who were
willing to participate in the study.

children in Selected areas of
Ahmedabad city.
Need Of Study
 Now a days using a mobile phone & other wireless devices has raised.
Among adolescents Need of there study to whether there technologies
affect children and there mental health after the outbreak of COVID.
Mobile phone addiction / abuse / misuse these is One of main problem
for health of child over usage of mobile phones may Psychological
illness such as dry eyes, cause Computer vision syndrome, weakness of
thumb, wrist, myopia, insomnia.
 In the 21st century everything is in the palm of our hands, technology has
reached its peak and it’s still developing to a new every day. The main
examples of technology are mobile phones, television sets, computers,
electric cars.
 More than 95% of students own a smartphone, and 75% of those
phones have internet access and apps.
OBJECTIVES:-
 To assess amount of time spent by students on mobiles phones.
 To assess attitude of students regarding use of mobile phone.
 To assess the most common site to surf by the students on mobile
phones.
 To assess Addiction level of students on phones.
OPERATION DEFINATION:-
Assess:
In this study, it refers to find out knowledge and attitude of the students who
are addicted with mobile phones.
Knowledge:
In this study, it refers to find out thinking and perception regarding the use of
the sites of surfing through Mobile phones.
Impact:
In this study, it refers to the impact of idea of concentration and grades, as well
as on mood of students.
Secondary school:
In this study it refers to students who are studying in class 8-9-10 in
selected school of Ahmedabad.
Mobile phones:
These are the devices in which affects in attention and concentration of
Students while studying, which affect the mind of too.
DELIMITATIONS:-
The study is delimited for private schools only.
The study is delimited for 400 samples only.

Students who are between age of 14-18 years.
Students who are available at the time of data collection.
Students who are able to understand English.

  • 2. 1.1 PROBLEM STATEMENT A descriptive study to assess knowledge and attitude regarding use of menstrual products Among College girls of selected area of Ahmedabad city
  • 3. 1.2 NEED OF STUDY  Girls and women have struggled throughout history to combine menstruation with daily life .Few products are now available in market like tempon , single use sanitary pads etc . Single use sanitary pads and cloth is most commonly used. Tempons are less frequently used in india and also have less knowledge regarding it.  Aim of this study is to determine knowledge of girls between age of 18-21 years regarding available menstrual products in market .By these girls will also have more accurate idea about how to use these products .With these we can also reduce cases of infection occurring due to unhygine and improper use of menstrual products.
  • 4. 1.3 OBJECTIVES:  To assess knowledge of girls regarding use of menstrual products like tempons single use sanitary pads.  To ease and enhance the healthy lifestyle during mensis period  To promote healthy hygiene practice with use of these products in our life.  To assess the attitude of girls regarding these use of menstrual products  To change the myth of girls regarding these products  To promote environmental hygiene.

Menstrual products: It refers to products that is being used during the days of menstruation cycle Urban area: It is a geographical area that is located inside the town having high population density..

  • 9. 5. SELECTION AND RATIONAL OF TOOL : The tool intended to be used for study is structured knowledge questionaires and five point likert scale to measure knowledge and attitude.

Needs of study Thalassemia is a common genetic blood disorder knowledge awareness , attitude towards and intention to screen for thelesemia among college students is poor screening is important because it can provide early detection of thalassemia carries and help to prevent new cases  Why this study we selected ? This study aimed to determine the level of knowledge of thalassemia , its screening programme ,individual attitude towards the programme and intention to screening among college students in urban area.
  • 15. Objective  To assess the knowledge of secoundary scholling children about thelesemia awareness screening.  To assess the children about thalassemia.  To prevent easily detection of thalassemia carries.  To prevent new cases of thalassemia.

Study is delimited for 400 samples only.  Exclusive criteria: Boys and girls who are below 12 year of age . who are not willing to participant of Time of data collection.
  • 19. Methodology Study type and study setting :  This was on observational descriptive study.it is carryout in the area Study population :  This study include secondary schooling students in urban area. Sample size :  This study requires only 400/500 samples in population.

  • 22. 1.2 NEED OF STUDY  Code blue is a code of hospital announcement which means that an adult is having an medical emergency usually cardiac or respiratory arrest it tells that where the emergency is.  Cardiac arrest is a medical emergency that is potentially reversible if treated early, and unexpected cardiac arrest can lead to death and to give information about these.  Not everyone having the information about these condition so to provide early warning sign and symptoms.  The code blue is the term used to alert the code blue team(resuscitation team) to an area where a person is having emergency.

  • 32. Problem statement  A study to assess effectiveness of planned teaching programme on management of diarrhoea among the Mothers of under Five year age children in selected areas of ahmedabad city.
  • 33. Need of the Study:-  Global estimation of number of deaths due to diarrhoea among under fives have shown us steady decline from 4.4 million in 1980 ,2.5 million in 2000 1.7 million cases in 2005 and 1.9 million in 2007 .  National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (2006) reported that diarrhoeal diseases rank second among all infectious diseases as killer in children below five year of age worldwide. Globally 1.3 billion episodes occur annually with an average of 2 – 3 episodes per children per year.
  • 34.  World Health Organization initiated diarrhoeal diseases control programme in 1980, approximately 4.6 million children is used to die each year of the dehydration caused by diarrhoea. The mortality due to diarrhoea have been reduced to 1.7 million during the year 2004.  In India like developing countries annual episodes of diarrhoea in children under five year old, 3.2 episodes per child and 2 billion episodes globally.  Annual mortality from diarrhoea in children under five years in developing countries was 1.8 million deaths and it was decreased from 4.5 million in last 20 years.
  • 35. Operational Definition:- Effectiveness It refers to the extent to which teaching programme was achieved the desired result intended to measure in terms of difference between pre-test and post test score. Teaching Programme It is systemic and planned teaching programme on management of diarrhoea which include definition, causes, transmission, signs and symptoms, management of diarrhoea with help of audio visual aids.
  • 36. Diarrhoea It is an inflammation of the mucous membrane of stomach and intestine. It results in rapid onset of diarrhoea with or without accompanying signs or symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, fever or abdominal pain. Mothers of Under Five Children Mothers who are having children aged between 0 – 5 year old.
  • 37. Eligibility Criteria:- Inclusive Criteria  Mothers who are having under five children.  Mothers who are living in selected areas..  Mothers who are willing to participate in the study. Exclusive Criteria  Mothers of under five children who are selected for conducting pilot study.  Mothers having children more than five years.
  • 38. Methodology:-  Research Design In this study, quasi experimental was adopted to evaluate effectiveness of teaching programme on management of diarrhoea among the mothers of under five children.  Sampling technique The participants of present study were selected by simple random sampling technique. It is a probability sampling technique in which researcher selected the participants based on age of children who were willing to participate in the study.

Mobile phone addiction / abuse / misuse these is One of main problem for health of child over usage of mobile phones may Psychological illness such as dry eyes, cause Computer vision syndrome, weakness of thumb, wrist, myopia, insomnia.  In the 21st century everything is in the palm of our hands, technology has reached its peak and it’s still developing to a new every day. The main examples of technology are mobile phones, television sets, computers, electric cars.  More than 95% of students own a smartphone, and 75% of those phones have internet access and apps.
  • 42. OBJECTIVES:-  To assess amount of time spent by students on mobiles phones.  To assess attitude of students regarding use of mobile phone.  To assess the most common site to surf by the students on mobile phones.  To assess Addiction level of students on phones.
