2. What is Method ??
Methods tend to be primarily concerned with teacher and student
role and behaviours .
It is generalized set of classroom specifications for accomplishing
linguistics objections.
It is a tool to reach goal.
3. There are some methods like :-
Grammar Translation Method.
The Direct Method.
The Audio Lingual Method.
The Silent way.
Suggestopedia.
Total physical Response.
Now, I will talk about TPR and Audio Lingual Method.

5. Audio – Lingual Method :-
The Audio Lingual Method was
developed in the united states
during world war II.
At that time there was a need for
people to learn foreign languages
rapidly for Military purpose.
It is also called as ‘ Army Method
’.

It is a method of foreign language.
It emphasized the teaching of listening and speaking before reading
and writing.
Teacher uses dialogues to make class active.
sometimes teacher used mimicry and action ,picture or visualisation
of particular things.
Grammatical structure taught by Inductively or a funny way.
This is a teaching since learning activities and materials are carefully
controlled.
7. Teacher focuses on pronunciation from the beginning.
By listening to how it is supposed to sound ,students should
be able to mimic the model.
Sometimes,if students don’t understand properly then teacher
repeats each line several time.
When student make mistake,it should be immediately
corrected by the teacher.
Many times ,positive reinforces helps the students to develop
correct habits ,the teacher says very good when the student
answer is correct.
8. Advantages:-
All students active in the classroom
With the repetation of dialogue or
speaking the speaking and listening
skills are better trained.
Students like it and take interest in
this type of activities.
Developing the separation of the
language skills.
Atmosphere of class was more
interesting and lively.

There are some Disadvantages also of this method like ;
Teachers are simply not explained I detail.
Grammar Skill is untrained.
Weak basis of it’s history.
Learners having little control over their Learning.

TPR developed by James Asher ,
a Proffesor of Psychology at San
Jose’s University.
It was a physical movement or
process by learners.
Based on the Contradiction of
language.

It was a great deal to listening and acting.
Normally,the learners use to sit near teacher or in a circle.
Learners have to listen and then performed.
Through this ,student should be more active and give response
quickly.
Sometimes teacher plays the role of parent.
Teacher is speaking phrase and also demonstrating it ,then students
also speak it with action.
Sometimes ,teacher ask the student to repeat the action,so that they
can know about Student’s memory power.
13. Advantages .......
It is funny ,interesting and Memorable
Method.
It creates positive thinking among
children.
Here the actions help build
connections in the brain.
It reduces learning stress.
It can be used in large and small
classes.
14. Disadvantages:-
It is only focus on listening comprehension and
speaking
It is only focus on listening
It is not creative. Students are not able to express their
own view or creative idea.
It was limited,combined with other approaches,not
explained everything with this only method.

TPR and Audio Lingual Method both are very important
and interesting.
Students can get it easily and learn fast.
They remember with this both Methods.
With thilese students can active or live during class.
