1. What have you learnt about technology from the process of
constructing this product?

2. From the process of constructing these
magazine pages I have learnt how to
develop my skills when using Photoshop.
I did this by creating my whole front
cover on Photoshop. However I didn’t
use Photoshop to create my front cover
into a simply one. But I added effects to
my images by optimizing the background
and picture’s lightness and contrast.
I then used other effects on my
picture and background by changing
the levels.

3. Not only did I use Photoshop to edit my front cover picture and background but I
also edited my masthead by adding effects on it to make it bolder and stand out
more from the page. I also developed my coverlines on my front cover by using
the colour yellow (which hasn’t been used anywhere else on my page). The
reason that I did this was to catch my audiences eye.
To edit the text to give it effects, I
firstly clicked on the layer, and then I
clicked on certain effects to make it
appeal more to my target audience.

4. Below shows what my picture looked like before and after I changed the effects and
levels of it.

5. I also developed my Photoshop skills by drawing different coloured rectangular
boxes on the page, and then I saved the document and imported it into Quark to
create a background, I did this for my contents page, below shows what it looked
like when just the imported background was on the page.

6. In addition, from the process of constructing my magazine, I have also developed
my skills on quark as before I stated the media course, I had never been on quark
before.
Furthermore, I have also developed my skill in other technologies in the process
of constructing my magazine, such as learning how to use the DSLR cameras and I
have also developed my skills in new software that I hadn’t used before.
