3. Cameras and equipment
Through constructing this magazine I have
learnt a number of new techniques and
technologies which have helped me to
complete this product. Through Google
images I was able to learn about different
angles and effects to take into account when
creating the images I used for my magazine.
Using lighting equipment, green screen and an
Effective camera allowed me to bring a
effective, professional look to my front cover
image.

4. Photoshop
Learning to use photoshop helped me
to create a more professional look on
my magazine. With the brush tool I was
able to remove the green screen and
place my main image on to my
background. Using the texts and fonts I
Created a realistic masthead, using the
‘blending options’ to create shadow
effects and outlines on images and text
and the shape tool to create puffs. Using
photoshop also allowed me to create a
‘photostrip’ of images to use on my double page
spread. Using the shape tool and crop tool I was
able to create a group of images displayed on
what looks to be a photostrip.

5. Quark
Learning to use Quark enabled
me to create a realistic contents page
and double page spread. Using the
guidelines helped me to create
columns for my text, keeping it in line
and avoided wonky lines or text being
cut of by the edge of the document.
Using picture box tools let me place
Pictures where I wanted with ease and
The borders and frames helped bring a
better presentation of the images,
clearly sectioning them from the text.

6. Other Technologies
Brusheezy: Using brusheezy
meant I could use creative
brush tools and effects to
give more colour and a
more energetic feel to my
cover. Using the paint splats
brought a fun feel to my
magazine fitting the pop
genre I was trying to get
across.
