2. Technological equipment used
 During the creation of my magazine I have learnt a lot of skills enabling
me to create a good overall product. In the construction of this product,
my knowledge of using this different types of software's had improved
tremendously, making the overall making of my product a lot easier to
construct, as when I first started this course, I had never used Photoshop
or Quark before.
 To create my music magazine, I used a number of different technologies.
Here below is a lost of all of the technologies I used (other than my PC.)
Digital Stills Camera
Adobe Photoshop
Quark Xpress
Mobile Phone
Internet explorer (Blogger, Prezzi, Slideshare)
Microsoft (PowerPoint and Word)

3. Digital Stills Camera
 The digital camera which I used was the Canon SLR. By using this
specific camera, it enabled me to when taking my pictures, the quality
of my images was very good, and I could see every picture instantly
there and then, deciding whether that image was appropriate of is I
wanted to take any more.
 Also, due to the large amount of storage space, I was able to take as
many photos as I needed, not being limited to a certain amount of
space. I was able to take images in a variety of angles and lengths,
having a wide range of images to choose from when it came to the
construction of my final product.
 By using his camera, I have learnt how to photograph from various
angles and lengths, bringing some elements of directing skills into my
photography skills, as I had to instruct my participants in what to do
(what position to be in etc)

4. Adobe Photoshop
 By being new to the Photoshop software, I feel I have
used various skills enabling me to use it at an
appropriate standard.
 By learning these a skills I have learnt in various lessons, I
feel I have learnt these efficiently, and that they have
helped me make an appropriate front cover to match my
criteria for my music magazine being the indie genre.
 Some skills I have learnt are, how to cut images to fit
them into my magazine properly (using the magic lasso
tool) And how to add colour and shapes into my
magazine, also knowing how to add layers and over lap
images onto one another.

5. Tools on Photoshop

The layer tool is situation on
the bottom right hand side
of Photoshop and is used to
over lap and place behind
certain items.

6. Quark Xpress
 I used quark Xpress to create both my contents page and my double
page spread. Before the construction of this, I had never used this
specific software before, so ensured I new how to use the appropriate
tools before making my product, exploring it’s full features properly. I
was able to create my double page spread layout having guidelines to
help my make sure all of my information and pictures were in line
correctly.
 I feel that have learnt how to use Quark and an appropriate standard
as I had never used it before, and feel that I now have a good
understanding of how to use this software properly. Also, by these
skills I have learnt in Quark, I can hopefully use these in the future in
making other projects like this.

7. Mobile Phone
 One other technological equipment I used during the
construction of my product is my mobile phone- I phone
4S.
 I used this when I went to the live performance of my
artist ‘Rizzle Kicks’ on my contents page, and also used I
for other necessary contents images (other than my
main photo shoot taken on the digital stills camera.)
 I also used my mobile phone to take the pictures of my
sketches of my media product, with also recording the
video of my 3 people for my audience feedback, and
audience research. My mobile phone has been useful in
helping me improve my work on my blogs and other
aspects of my final products.

8. Internet explorer
(Blogger,Prezzi, Slideshare)
By the use of internet explorer, this was very beneficial in helping me
finding my research and uploading things onto my blog. I used both
prezzie and slide share. These were both an easy and free way of
creating and embedding my PowerPoint presentations
onto my blogger (my blog site that my blog is listed)
By the process on making my magazine and the
making of my original preliminary task, the internet
Was very useful in giving me inspiration into the
house style of my music magazine, for example
in the image to the right, this gave me some
inspiration into the construction of my front cover.
By the use of Prezzie and slide share, and just
like Photoshop and Quark, I had never used these
before, and feel that I have learnt how to embed these presentations
into my blog efficiently and effectively, with also learning about
blogger, in how to post things onto my blog.

9. Microsoft PowerPoint and
Word
 Both of these enabled me to write and present the main
elements for my media project.
 By the use of PowerPoint, this helped me to make the
appropriate presentations needed for the evaluations of
my music magazine.
 By the use of Microsoft word, I was able to write the text of
my double page spread, ensuring the spelling and grammar
was correct.
 Also by the use of Microsoft word, I used this to make my
audience questionnaires to print and give to my target
audience.
 I feel that by both of these, they were very easy and simple
to use, ensuring me to write and evaluate my blogs
correctly.

10. Microsoft PowerPoint and
