This document provides updates on construction progress for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project at Leaside and Laird stations. At Leaside station, work continues within the station box and entrances and will extend into early 2021, including concrete work, rebar installation and masonry. Construction of the main and secondary entrances is ongoing. At Laird station, forming and concrete work continues at the main and secondary entrances through March 2021, while tunnel and track work occurs beneath Eglinton Avenue. Crane removal and escalator delivery will result in short-term traffic changes in mid-February. Retaining wall construction at Eglinton east of Brentcliffe is on hold for slope remediation and will resume in

Year What to Expect
2021
• Extended construction hours will continue through 2021.
• Periodic lane closures may be required to facilitate deliveries, dewatering and concrete
works.
• Permanent works are ongoing within the station box and entrances, and will continue into
early 2021, including waterproofing, formwork, rebar installation and concrete works.
• Above ground construction of the Main Entrance is underway, with crews completing the
concrete pour for the floor slab and south wall.
• Architectural works, including masonry block installations, have begun at the Main
Entrance. Structural steel and pre-cast panel installations are expected to start in Spring
2021.
• Construction of the Secondary Entrance is progressing upwards and is expected to reach
street level in Spring 2021.

embankment created from the widened Eglinton
Ave.
• Retaining wall construction is on hold while
slope remediation work takes place
• Remedial work will continue into February 2021,
