11. OVERNIGHT PILE REMOVAL AT MOUNT PLEASANT STATION

• In March 2021, crews at Mt Pleasant Station will start to work overnight to remove the king
piles from the station roof.
• Work will take place in two stages, on the north side of Eglinton Avenue west and east of
Mt Pleasant Rd.
• This work will take place overnight Monday - Friday between 7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. for
approximately six (6) weeks.
• Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction.
• Sidewalk closures on the north side of Eglinton Avenue will be required.
• Traffic control personnel, signage, traffic barrels, and fencing will be present to direct the
travelling public and delineate the work zone.
• Periodic overnight noise from construction activity including use of a hydro-vacuum truck,
excavator, and hand tools, can expected.
• Noise mitigation measures will be implemented to reduce disruption caused by this work.
