Drink Manager
“There are too many craft beer options
to make an informed beer selection.”
Mitch is a senior studying Political Science at the University of
Michigan. He is actively involved in school organizations
including the CSG and a Law Fraternity. In his free time,
Mitch loves to go to the bars, but really only gets Bud Lights
and Tequila shots. Mitch has decided that he wants to
become a more cultured and tamed drinker as he begins his
transition into the real world. He thinks he should be going to
bars with better beer since he sees his older friends going to
Mash and wants to be a part of that crowd. He sees the
extensive list of craft beers at the bar and doesn’t know what
to order. He doesn’t want to waste an opportunity to try a new
beer but feels alone in his decision.
His older friends are seasoned drinkers and already know
what they want, but he doesn’t know what to get. He asks his
friends for help, but he is hesitant to use their advice as his
tastes might not match theirs’. Mitch feels like he will never
figure out his favorite craft beer to order at the bar, or
remember all of the drinks he has tried. A couple of times
Mitch tried a beer, but ended up having to force himself to
finish it. Now, Mitch ends up always ordering the same Bud
Light he always gets. He is too nervous to try another beer
that he won’t actually like and waste his money again. He
wants an easier way to find drinks he will like and to enjoy his
time out more.
